That's a crazy price on what looks like a very fully featured generator! I have a similar model from Champion, which has been excellent and met all my needs, but if this had been available at the time I probably would have bought it instead. If you have natural gas already as well as an interlock/transfer switch, these tri-fuel inverter generators are the perfect fit. Having fuel flexibility during any kind of outage or natural disaster is so valuable.

That price is superb. I bought the fully enclosed unit and it cost me $3000 Canadian. Sold by TMG Industrial but all the same unit basically made by Dinking Corp in China....TMG, Genmax, Pulsar, Tomahawk, Home Depo unit...basically all the same unit with and without some basic features. This is a superb unit and works great for home backup through a Generlink switch with natural gas. Haven't tried propane yet but should work just fine.

That is a great price and you are right, it really is a good value! Slightly louder than an enclosed unit but you’re only using this for emergencies not for camping so it should be less of an issue. Thanks for watching!

@@Outdoor_Prepper Only one thing I have a concern about is parts and service availability.. With Genmax you are probably ok, but my supplier TMG Industrial warranties their (and my )unit for one year. I can't imagine they are in any position to supply replacement parts either during or after the warranty. The maker of our units (ChongDinking Corp ) in China says they will honour the warranty so I suppose if I give them the part description and the name of the unit they should be able to supply parts and I do my own work.. From the KZbin videos of this company, they would seem to be a reputable company in business and selling generator and other small equipment all over the world since 2010. I own 10 generators (don't ask) and the only ones the seem to take warranty and service properly are Champion and of course Honda. But I sold my Honda EU6500 because I don't want to run on gas anymore (and put $1000 back in my pocket) after the purchase of my 10500 unit.

Carb cleaner seems to work best for me for cleaning spark arrestors. Predators are notorious for running rich and the ones I have will gum up every 30-40h. I use them on job sites so they get more runtime than most homeowners do, so 40h might sound like a lot to some but it's every week for me. Kero/gas does work but it takes longer and you have to soak them. Carb cleaner cuts right through it with a few sprays.

Looks like they are using the same Dinking 312cc engine that they are using in the Genmax GM7500aIED ($899 at Sam's Club), GM8500aIED ($1299 at Home Depot), the GM6000ied ($1399 retail), GM7250iEDC ($1699 retail), and many others. Seems to be a good engine overall. I have the Genmax GM7500aIED from Sam's Club and bought it when the Black Friday deal was $799 shipped and was able to buy a 2nd one from them at same price a week ago. Now at about $1800 all in, I have 11,000 running watts on demand if needed running 2 in parallel with their kit. Good generators.

One small space heater took it to 25% capacity. I can see why it’s recommended to have a buddy heater. I have the enclosed Genmax tri fuel as my whole house generator. I have done two test runs and it ran perfectly. I tried using propane but it wouldn’t start. I will try it again, making sure I purge the line. I was hesitant to have the propane valve open for a long time before starting it. But I will give it another try. I read that NEC does not recommend using propane with the remote. So I pushed the push start.
@Outdoor_Prepper16 күн бұрын
@@steffiejoe the space heater is just a tad over 1500 watts. In fairness the meter only has 0, 25, 50, 75, 100, so it was probably less than 25 percent but that was the only real metric to measure it. I definitely think if you’re going to use a space heater with any generator that you’re better off using Mr buddy heater as they take a ton of power. I did a review on Mr buddy heater on my channel - check it out if you haven’t seen it. A generator is better used to power other things outside of a space heater. Thanks for watching!

You may have turned the propane switch on too fast activating the safety unit in the switch. Disconnect and then turn the propane switch on SLOWLY and you should be good to go.

Well, I was going to ask for an update on what you thought after having this generator for awhile. 😆 It may be too soon for an update. Unless, have you connected it to NG yet? I've seen that some others had some issues connecting to NG. Oh, I can't give you credit for the purchase, but you made me feel better about my decision that is arriving tomorrow.

A little too soon for an update but from my initial startup and break in, I definitely like it. Don’t have the natural gas hookup yet. It’s a bit louder than an enclosed unit but other than that I have no complaints!

Can you tell me how much this unit really weighs? I know it says 123 pounds and you stated it felt more like 223 pounds. I am just wanting a close weight of this generator within 10 +/-
@Outdoor_Prepper2 күн бұрын
My best guess is it’s about 200lbs. It’s a great generator but definitely weighs more than 123 lbs. in the box, I needed someone else to help me move it. Once the wheels and handles are put on it’s very easy to move and roll around with 1 person. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

Please note, leaving this supplied battery charger connected continuously will damage the battery long term. Note this particular charger is NOT a battery tender which is the only type of charger safe to leave on long term. I have separate ones for all my small engine batteries and my motorcycle and leave them on continually. What I had to do was run another battery charging lead out through the front cover (fully enclosed 10500 unit) to connect the battery tender. They are available most everywhere for around $20 to $30

......'This item cannot be shipped to your selected delivery location.".... Of course. Thanks Kalifornia. I wish my champion generator ran a natural gas. My 5 gallon tank lasts about 5 hours and a propane tank last about three. Hooked up to natural gas would in theory run for days at a time. Can a dual fuel generator be adapted to Natural Gas?
@Outdoor_Prepper16 күн бұрын
It's unfortunate that it's not available everywhere, but I agree California has some ridiculous restrictions on things. There are some folks who make aftermarket adapters to run generators on natural gas. Search online for you’re model number and natural gas conversion. I know for example that there are many aftermarket kits to convert the small Honda inverters to propane. Thanks for watching!
