Geno Auriemma reacts to UConn's 'miracle' win against USC in the Elite Eight | SNY

UConn women's basketball coach Geno Auriemma gives his take on the team's 80-73 win against top seed USC in the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament. He speaks about the emotions involved in winning at this point in the tournament, how proud he is of the team and their coaching staff that "their belief in themselves never wavered", how he felt it would take a miracle to make it to the Final Four and how he thinks Paige Bueckers lives for games like today where she held her own guarding "superhuman" JuJu Watkins. Auriemma also mentioned how he was following the LSU vs. Iowa game and joked that he hopes Caitlin Clark had a vendetta against LSU and won't score as many points against UConn next weekend.

Not to pick nits, but WHY have Paige inbound the ball when she's the best one to receive it? Can't wait to see what UConn looks like next year.

The play is to have Paige inbound the ball and then get it back immediately to take the shot, which was successful at least once in the game.

@@davidmyers5916 I get that, but at the point in the game when the other team is going to instantly foul whoever gets the inbound, you get people who are not Paige shooting free throws. This is completely predictable. Also, Aaliiyah is taller so has a better chance of getting the ball to Paige. Geno obviously knows what he's doing but this move baffles me. Also, can I put in a request for Paige to be the point guard next year?

@@MakeMeThinkAgain Putting Paige back at point guard is the best idea, friend. Nika is graduating, and if Fudd is back they'll have their shooting guard. I also can't wait to see Aubrey Griffin play again; after Paige, she is my favorite Husky.
