the idea for an edited sw metropolis bg came about due to do a possible theory that sw metropolis' bg is a leftover from cyber city, when metropolis and cyber city merged

Temporary asset or no, the odd-looking placeholder evokes the idea of a forcefield with spikes under it that can poke just past the edge from inside, which would be a cool visual gimmick in a romhack, fangame or official level.
