I just spent a week building a MIDI controllable virtual rig in Mainstage all based around NAM but with pre and post effect VSTs.. What a waste of time that was now! Genome looks amazing. Can we assume you can assign every single parameter to outboard MIDI controls via the DAW? I plan to use a wireless foot controller and a panel of rotary knobs for preset tuning. Any plans to continue working on CPU optimisations? Also, if you manage to work this into a floor based unit with the software link for preset design, stereo I/O, and assignable routing for external FX loops you would absolutely be on top of the guitar sim industry (you probably will be already as this one develops). Even better - if there was a modular option for an additional external MIDI switchbox with say 10 or 12 loops for your favorite guitar pedals - which connects not only to your primary floor unit - but you can assign those analog FX anywhere in the signal chain independently via the software. That way you could keep all your analog pedals away in a rack or drawer somewhere and use them in a hybrid setup.
@RossDaviesTwoNotes9 ай бұрын
Thanks for getting in touch - Ross from Two notes here. Every component-level parameter can be assigned to GENOME's Automation Assign, exposing these to your DAW which in turn can be MIDI controlled; please note however preset changes cannot be MIDI controlled at this stage and this will be included in a future Update. Thanks for the hardware feature requests - this has been sent to our team for consideration now!

Not a problem at all@@mycosys ! We are here to help! Great suggestions - we have fed this back to our dev team for consideration now - however within GENOME, internal signals are calculated in 32-bit float format; as such, signals can’t actually ‘clip’ inside GENOME as they might if using fixed 24-bit processing. However, maintaining an optimal volume range will ensure Components sensitive to input gain (Amplifiers/Distortion Pedals) operate within the volume range they were specified for; as such we have noted this to our dev team! Regarding the components, we have a packed roadmap planned so stay tuned for more updates! :)

Woah, so we can route in external gear into the middle of the signal chain, whether it is physical hardware like an amp into a loadbox or possibly even a different external plugin? Did I understand this right? Pretty sure this is the first instance of being able to do this in a guitar plugin so far, and this would be a massive game changer that removes the biggest downside to plugins compared to hardware amp and fx modelers with their flexible external routing options. Assuming this is the case, then the only other thing that could push Genome into complete rarefied air would be to unlock the plugin hosting to host any third-party plugin in any of the blocks on the signal chain. We don't worry about trying to match the slick integration like what you already are doing with NAM for other plugin hosting, but if you could match some of useful things that Gig Performer does, that would be incrementally revolutionary. That said, if there is seamless routing to external plugins, and clicking the block launches these plugin overlays, then that is basically the same thing and good enough. It's a no-brainer if these things can be confirmed!
@RossDaviesTwoNotes10 ай бұрын
Hi Tiger, Thanks for getting in touch. At present there is no facility to route signal in and out of GENOME at user selected points in the signal chain bar the standard inputs and outputs. In addition, VST integration is something we are not planning on implementing; not to to any technical difficulty, rather this is based on stability - sadly we cannot validate every VST plugin out there for stability and reliability and as such we would not feel confident implementing this. Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.
@chrishillery10 ай бұрын
Your use of "carrier-class" so prominently in all your advertising materials is really a poor choice. First off, that's a pretty wonky tech-industry term that most of your audience won't be familiar with, and Google won't help them - most of the hits when searching for it are about aircraft carriers. Secondly, in the industry where "carrier-class" does have a reasonably well-understood meaning (telecommunications), it refers to products and services which have long-standing and battle-proven reliability; robustly secure; implemented atop resilient and/or redundant hardware; with 99.999% availability guarantees. None of those things are accurate for, or even applicable to, a VST plugin. Having that as literally the first words on your product page screws up your messaging and makes everything that comes after it seem suspicious.
