I bought this mic after watching another review. I got mine today and found this video because I had a problem with the equipment being superior to the operator (ESO problem). I finally realized I was using the USB C input port instead of the output port. I've been looking for an affordable solution while recording when I'm in the arena with the horses, and this product is the answer! I probably walked about 100 yards before my voice started breaking up. However, for some strange reason, as I kept walking further down my street, it got clear again. This is going to be perfect for the arena. This product is fantastic. I bought another one for my husband to use while he's hunting.

Great to hear that they are working well for you already, and that you figured out your "tech issue"! I was really impressed with these mics, especially at the price point that they go for. You mentioned the thing that surprised me most about them; the range! I may do a max range test with them one day as a follow up. Here's to a good hunting season for the hubby!

Wow! Very cool to see a review from you again. You can definitely tell the difference from the wired mic. Hooked to the phone, it was warmer and fuller. But what is really impressive is the outdoor footage. So clear at 20 feet and no hint of wind. Very nice! I'd buy that for a dollar, or 50% off, or 20% off! 😉 ••• Congrats on the sale of your house! I know the new owners have a fine home after all the work you put into it.

That stinks! I was looking at the compatibility section of the mics and it doesn't say that they will work with anything less than a 15, though one of the descriptors just says iPhone. A bit vague there. My Android is certainly not a new model (probably more than 2 years old at this point), but it worked with mine so maybe it's more finicky with Apple's?
