Cleaning up after a storm is always such a tough job. Sorry about your mess, Tim. Loved the walk down to the creek and the owl and deer. Great that you got a generator, sounds like it will be used frequently. 🥰❤

Thanks for sharing the wildlife excursion to the creek, it’s always good to see wildlife thriving (even if they eat your rye). A generator is a must for many people where I live, even in the suburbs, because the wild hot/cold temps we fluctuate between really stresses our grid. That seems to have been a great purchase and I hope you and your neighbor get your power back on soon.

Another 24 hrs at this stage is the estimate. Super happy I bought it today

I bought the genpower 7000 version for my folks because of the push button start, so far so good handles 2 fridges, exhaust fan, a pump, and lighting. So far so good. Im sure youll read the manual, (like we all do ...) after first 5 hours use change the oil. I also bought, based on the generator, a lawnmower Bauer 840sx, going from an old Victa commando to this self propelled model was so damn good. Would be good if Edisons let you evaluate some of their equipment. Thanks Tim all the best!

Great video Tim. Ive bought a few things from Edisons. Some good, some not so good. You were absolutely correct, the last few days weren't pleasant. Love the walk down to what i imagine is C***** creek. You may have to do a bass fishing video when it settles down again. Owls are freaky things😅

The main thing with generator if you are not using them on a regular basis, drain fuel from the tank and run the machine till all fuel is gone from carby, other wise the day that you really need it ,it will not start and run right as the fuel has gone bad, ask me as I found out the hard way with mine.

Gives me PTSD to watch flooding! From the mtns of North Carolina where Helene hit. We didn't have to worry about water (we have a spring) but generator yes. 15 days without electricity and two days in from the storm we were driving treachorous roads to get to the next town to get gas for it. Thank goodness they had it. Stock up on fuel for sure and oil. Ours kept us going and we would have been in bad shape without it. I was very please in the investment of it. Kept our refrigerator, freezer, lights, computers and tv going once we had wifi. That was on day 3 or 4. We paid around $1000 for ours but it can run the whole house if needed (small house about 1300 sq ft). Best investment we ever made.

We'd like to think the power will always be on, but that is not the case. Living in Darwin, we get some pretty decent storms at this time of the year. A few years back our suburb (one of many) lost power for a week. Genies were flying out the Bunnings door. Many businesses lost stock, nit mention faith in the NT government, as they promised for years to convert overhead powerlines to underground. We're still waiting. Stay safe.

Nice review Tim. Would be great if A company like Tesla or similar would get on board with some solar panels and batteries for your home. Would be great exposure for there product and get you off grid powering your own your own home and tools

I’d definitely wouldn’t call it a review. Just a bit of a Quick Look. I know nothing about them. Thank you though

WOW!! What a mess to your beautiful property resulting from the storm. If only Los Angeles, Calif, USA could receive some of that rain to assist with the disastrously sad and overwhelmingly horrible situation from the still active wildfires---

Oh it’s really not that bad, just inconvenient. Nothing near overseas
@warwickpeople51404 сағат бұрын
Maybe put the generator into economy mode. It’ll only rev up when a load is on. Also, out of interest, what sort of extraction licence do you need to take water from a creek in NSW?
