31:10 No, because that would have gone against the entire point of Xiao's arc of learning he doesn't need to keep sacrificing himself and that he deserves the chance to live
@hyeongpinkz11 ай бұрын
it would've been cool if he'd realized that right before dying tbh
@thexvthmember491011 ай бұрын
@@hyeongpinkz But then that would have made his character arc moot. That sort of thing works in a tragedy, but Xiao's realization that he deserves to live is meant to be a hopeful message, not a tragic one. Having him realize sacrificing himself is wrong just as he's dying would cut off everything his character has been working towards because this realization is supposed to be a midway point in his development. If he died then, then we wouldn't get the future events where after his experience in Chasm, he's slowly, but trying, to actively trying to integrate more with humanity, learning to once again rely on others, especially the Traveler, and not just live to die.
@hyeongpinkz11 ай бұрын
@@thexvthmember4910 yeah… and? they could’ve just closed off his character arc there and centered the next lantern rite around honoring him and bidding him farewell, its just another thing they could’ve done

@thexvthmember491011 ай бұрын
@@hyeongpinkz That sounds like an incredibly unsatisfactory way to cut his development before it could even begin. That would be like saying that Kazuha should have died during the Inazuma Archon Quest against the Raiden Shogun, trying to do what his friend did and also failing, which would then cut off all the later development he gets learning about the true downfall of his clan, fully coming to terms with how his past grievances and loathings affect his present self, and resolving to continue the lost Isshin swordsmithing art. Character death is very tricky, it has to be done at the right time and place, and in the Chasm quests' case, it wouldn't have been the right time for Xiao to die. The overarching narrative of the Chasm quest is about self sacrifice, there's a battle of ideals between Xiao and Yelan, and also partially Itto, on the nature of it. The ultimate message the quest tries to send is that being willing to trust and lean on others for support is okay, and the self sacrifice is an extreme and unwanted conclusion because it always hurts someone in the end.

I still think it is too early for Xiao to die in the game because he is just learning that he is not just a weapon and that he can and should rely on others for help. The chasm quest was a big part in his character development. And as long as Zhongli is around he will make sure that nobody else dies.

30:58 Should Xiao die here? No, dying here would ruin everything he done for Liyue for hundreds of years. He defend Liyue and destroying monsters his entire life. If he were to die, I want him to die while defending Liyue Harbor from enemy forces. Then, at the end of his final, dying breath, the people of Liyue recognize him not just as an adeptus, but as a hero. The true hero of Liyue.

Went to Düsseldorf last Saturday! I was surprised as it was experience wise, so underwhelming in comparison to the one in Shanghai as well as a 5 - 25€ benefit concert in Vienna. The only traditional instrument they used was a single Guzheng and nothing else. If that was apparently worth ~120€ in Düsseldorf, how much would you have to pay for this concert in Shanghai? I can't help but feel scammed by Hoyoverse
@jayChg_G11 ай бұрын
Sometimes, concert hall/orchestra at fault because they cant provide enough music instrument. Some musician had to perform using different instruments and they sound different (yes, this is happen sometime).

@jayChg_G From what I've seen, every other concert like the one in London, LA, Singapore, and so on had almost the exact same setup. Apparently, the performers in LA didn't even bother to practice until ~3 hours before the concert. Either they're not getting paid enough for this, or they just don't care. I know that the one in London actually had a Shakuhachi besides the Guzheng, but that's pretty much it. It feels like as if the management used 50% of the revenue they made through selling all of the tickets and put it all into the Shanghai concert alone. The funny thing is that I've recorded some moments of the concert, and the recorded version actually sounds better than it did irl. In my opinion, there were only three memorable pieces during the Düsseldorf concert. Despite the lack of any traditional japanese instrument, they performed the best version of Raiden Shoguns trailer I've ever heard from a live concert, which is truly impressive.
