The Liyue theme made me cry like a baby.. I still remember being stuck at an unfamiliar city during the lunar new year period in 2021, not being able to be home to celebrate with my family due to the pandemic... instead, I was dragging Xiao around Liyue harbour, preparing for the Lantern Rite festival, and that helped me miss home a little less. Me stuck in my bedroom for a whole month of january 2021 due to contracting covid. My office nicely let me rest until the test came out negative with no work at all while still pay me fully (it is not possible to bring the work home, so they kinda just let me, bcs the i catched the virus while commuting home from office). It gives you a warm feeling you get when returning home during the holidays season after a long and gruesome year of work to finally visit your family. But I know the professional industry still likes its paper, that's probably why it's not everywhere yet. * A software dev could probably code an MVP of this in a week. With modern mobile devices you can just use the microphone to listen to which notes are being played to keep track of where the musician is currently at in the score. When the music gets to the end of one page it should then flip to the next page. It's definitely possible because we already use microphones on your smartphone to detect pitch for tuning apps lol.

ah, i see and yes it's true, pitch tuning apps are useful but are not entirely accurate. that would be helpful tool though it would take time to perfect considering that for example, even individual violins have distinguishable sound "personalities"

We have machine learning that can already recognize what a human is speaking: look at KZbin's automated captions! They just have to apply deep learning models on to some data of music recordings (and that's an easy dataset to procure) and you'll have machines that have a 99.99% success rate at knowing where a song being played is currently at. They don't need to know the precise pitch for it, it's just making an informed guess, but a very good guess. Because fundamentally that's how human brains work too. People can listen to music without having perfect pitch and being able to precisely tune by ear. In fact it should be very fault tolerant, for the same reason people can still recognize songs being played back on a bad speaker.

Everytime new music comes out for Genshin, it always impresses me so much. theres so much detail and character and story that gets portrayed and conveyed through the music. I absolutely love Yun jin's song, every time I hear it I get CHILLS down my back and goosebumps all across my arms. its so beautiful and even if I cant understand the words, the emotions are still conveyed so well just through the sounds themselves. I just watched an interview with Yun jin' Opera VA, and how she told about how they worked together to still keep specific traditions in the song and the way its sung. And that she was so surprised that the song had gone so viral and that people were so in appreciative of the the traditions and history etc from the Peking Opera. The music and worldbuilding in this game is always top notch and Im so glad I stayed behind after the 2.5 stream to listen to the concert. SO BEAUTIFUL

Almost fell out of my seat when Azhdaha's boss theme started playing, and it was even more exciting that we got a chance to see the translated English lyrics for it as well. The lyrics are quite sad. With the new announcement of the Chasm coming in Version 2.6, I'm hoping we get a lot more info on Rex Lapis and Azhdaha. But lore obsessions aside, the singer's performance was gorgeous. The music in this game never fails to impress. Beautiful.

This concert was too beautiful. And to actually see the Azhdaha lyrics with the subtitles on was something else. Genshin is such a unique game in how it blends cultures, and seeing the marriage of the classical, rock, and traditional Chinese instruments just hypes the performances we can see in the future. 21:30 not a lot of people would really notice this but as a trumpet player myself i can say first hand that having only 3 trumpet players ring out so beautifully in an entire orchestra like that is honestly amazing. in fact, at 21:38, right before the camera switches, you can see one of the trumpets (look square in the middle of the screen and a little to the right) just fall limp after the last bit of his crescendo and its probably the most relatable thing ive seen despite this being one of the best orchestras in the world
