It's not really treatment from HYV. HYV isn't the one saying "hey you, Genshin, give players less rewards! And you, HSR, give players a free 5 star!". The two games are run by two different directors and two different dev teams, with Genshin's dev team being the newer team while HSR's is an older team. And Genshin's director is notorious for being super stingy with rewards since he used to direct for HI3 as well back when it gave less rewards for stuff.

Genshin is fun up until the point you hit endgame and can clear abyss with 36 stars and the moment that happens, the game falls apart at the seams. I haven't touched Genshin since the early dendro update and frankly I wouldn't be surprised if I could go back into Genshin right now after not playing for like a year and still 36 star abyss with the old national team. So please do explain why anyone who has already hit max AR and has multiple fully built teams would want to come back to Genshin outside of speed running through the story? Having more characters, weapons, mats, resources, relics or anything is literally pointless after a point outside of doing it because you feel like it.

Without Genshin the playerbase of HSR won't even be as big as it is. If they just went from Honkai Impact 3rd to Star Rail you won't probably even know it existed. I like how this HSR only players keep saying that HSR got this popular just by itself being caring to its players but that's not even true to the slightest since without Genshin it won't even have much of a fan base, Honkai Impact is popular but only to the select group of people and isn't any different from other waifu gacha games like Arknight, PGR, FGO, and many others. Genshin made Hoyoverse get into the mainstream, attracting more people to their other games. I used to say that i don't have time for games like Genshin and Star rail but when i tried star rail, the auto battle is surprisingly useful especially for a working person like me. I don't have to teleport and run around for dailies. I don't have to do tedious events that give me little to no primos. I don't have to spam my attack or dodge buttons. More energy to farm for materials. Simulated universe that resets daily for more goodies. And main point, MORE HUBBA HUBBAS ❤❤❤ Not saying genshin is bad or anything. The main thing im complaining abt genshin was never exactly about the rewards they give but rather things like THIS. I’ve always been so salty by the fact that hsr got a better ingame model with smoother animation and stuff. Not to mention the english dub having the lips sycing to the animation during quests. Other than that i’ve always dreamt about genshin one day having an animated (not the live2d style) mv for a song. BUT GODDAMNIT HSR GOT IT FIRST. Like yeah i get it, genshin got the orchestral video stuff and yes i do watch it often because i just loved genshin’s music. But still, genshin barely has any songs that has lyrics. The only songs that has lyrics are like divine damsel devastation(yunjin’s opera) and the furina sq song (i’ll probably butcher the title if i write it here). I know the scara boss theme and azdaha’s boss theme also has lyrics into it but in those songs, the lyrics aren’t really like the main thing (idk how to phrase this). STAR RAIL ALREADY GOT LIKE 3 SONGS. wild fire, samudrahta, and now white night😭😭. Back then i used to go like “okay, maybe it’ll be hard for them to implement better quality animations and models into the game because it’ll take a lot of space.” “Well, we already got orchestral videos, so maybe in the future we might got an animated mv. Just see how facial expression in genshin looked like compared to hsr (the ones in quests). Which is why i followed that sentence saying that there is no lypsycing on en dub in genshin. These things might looked simple and unnecessary even. But it actually affects the immersiveness of the storytelling. If there’s a sad scene and the ingame model animation just looked flat, it wouldn’t feel sad. And the current genshin ingame model had a stiff facial expression. It didn’t look that bad, but it COULD’VE BEEN BETTER. The animation didn’t need to be as good as zzz but at least as good as hsr pls. I seriously just want genshin to fucking improve

as a player for both I can say that the reason why people prolly like HSR over GI is. 1. HSR dev are way more generous or should I say learned from GI's mistake, they actually give 30 rolls and an anniv event in contrast to GI. IF GI peeps gonna argue that "but GI also gives 20 rolls, HSR doesnt need drama to recieve those 30 rolls meanwhile I cant say the same for GI. 2. HSR devs knew how to make free units usable, Ratio who has been a freebies for HSR winning an award vs Aloy who is a collab chara, I wont even mention how bad traveler is with only dendro and geo usable compare to TB. 3. HSR is less tedious and will compensate you more compare to GI, 100% explo in GI gives less than HSR 100% chest opened per patch. 4. HSR is more friendly for casual or someone who has something to do irl, HSR has reserved trailblaze, meanwhile doesnt. the only thing I can think of GI is better than HSR is G doesnt give you as much as emotional damage compare to that certain dude gives to HSR players, or should I say Honkai players in general. ffs atleast in this game leave my Himeko alone and have a happy ending for once, GGZ, HI3, GI(the og pyro archon is assumed d*ad) she all d*ad in all these games

If you still don't believe me, then why don't you give me the proof. Give me the EXACT timestamp in the 2.0 Livestream where HSR's official channel said "GENSHIN COULD NEVER". If you do this, and it is indeed true, I will accept defeat and acknowledge that the official HSR channel did indeed say "GENSHIN COULD NEVER". However, if you cannot provide said timestamp, then my point still stands as I have more evidence that the official HSR channel has not said it.

Erm.. for those who think that honkai is miles ahead of genshin due to impact 3rd being out in the market for much longer... U really gotta play both before making that statement. Also, genshin is still top in the charts in terms of gacha earnings. ( aint sure how thats gonna last in 2024) Star rail did reuse some chars from impact 3rd but many of the chars are vastly different in terms of characteristic and looks. In fact, u can almost say that its a different game. I played genshin since day 1, did play impact 3rd for a while and also never missed a day since star rail launched. Overall, I have to admit star rail is way more generous as compared to genshin. Gameplay is subjective. The devs did really pull out all stops for star rail though. U can see the effort they put into the game and HOW THEY TREAT THEIR PLAYER BASE. Its easier to accumulate resources in star rail, the pity system is more forgiving than genshin. Sadly due to real life commitments I have to give up impact 3rd(bye2 my fuhua phoenix waifu T_T) and genshin. Still play Star Rail though. PS: From someone who spent stupid amount of money on all 3 games. I basically have every char in genshin until Fontaine. Star rail I have almost every LC(i didnt choose some of the battlepass LC) and EVERY char in the game.( some with dupes) Black Swan momma FTW!
