It's literally like w/these types of things: hit the weak spot - easy! But then you suck at archers, so it's really not helpful, unless you manage get a lucky shot in... :(( Hitting the wea spot makes such a difference, can't they make bows any more useful/easier to use???

When it's in the air shooting missiles you should shoot its eye /core and that will stun the boss

Actually everyone HAS to have it because this quest comes after you complete the archon quest “A Long Shot” and once you complete it you can get barbara and the others you get in the beginning so- Everyone has these characters

Geo Traveller Amber (or any bow user ) Noelle your main dps -Use geo traveller E skill and climb it. -Once the ruin hunter positioned to shoot missiles, switch to noelle and use her shield. -switch to amber or any bow user and shoot its glowing core. -defeat it using your main dps. That's how I do it. Or if your traveller is weak, just climb a high place and that'll make the ruin hunter go missle mode and you can shoot the core

The freeze combo can deal more damage if you use a claymore character to shatter it. I use Barbara, Kaeya then Beidou. But if you use an archer, you should use them with a shield

Thank GOD I found this. I recently started playing again and had to come across this ruin hunter. Can’t keep up how many times my characters died. That was smart to put Barbara and Kaeya to trigger the freeze reaction. That definitely saved me loads. So thank you!

This fight was so scary in the beginning for that I had to leave. I then came back and it was raining. I’ve just gotten Diona and didn’t know the full extent of her powers. I had put on her shield and the ice cat paws froze the ruin hunter. I was then able to finish it off with Lisa!

For me I defeated the ruin hunter without getting anyone killed I only used fischl lvl 26 and aether lvl 40 You know how? Turn off the sounds xD Cause I’m panicking when that ruin hunter makes those scary sounds

i also recommend Lisa for this. When they are flying up, you can make use of Lisa's long range attacks

Here are some things that help approach those roaches: • Test out ALL the characters you are using to fight it with a similar level enemy as the ruin hunter • Practice fighting ruin gaurds ( there is one at thousand winds temple) • MAKE SURE TO HAVE HYDRO AND CRY ON UR TEAM IT HELPS A TON! Here are some f2p teams that work Kayea/Cryo Barbara/Hydro Fischl/Electro bow I used Beidou Fischl Chong Yun and Barbara Because Barbara and Fischl are ranged characters so u can attack from afar. I'm a Beidou main so uh 😰 and Chonyun for the freeze reaction. Hope this helps

I accidentally found one of these while I was doing a quest 😭😭 I was so terrified but thankfully I had defeated a ruin guard before so I knew it's weak point. It cost me 2 characters but I made it. I was at AR14 then and I am still scared of them. P.S : Those missiles it throws from the sky are hella terrifying 😭😭

i used your tactic of using an archer first, shutting the hunter down completely. it was a bit tricky though since i dont have a mouse but i managed because of this so thank you, brother. i used fischl to paralyse the hunter, chongyun to deal damage barbara to heal ending the battle with jean’s elemental burst

omg thank you sm for this I can't aim at the core of the hunter, but what I did was use amber and beidou as bait. When the ruin hunter starts shooting, switch to a character that's levelled up, but not necessary here. Your bait character will take the dmg from the ruin hunter. Use Kaeya and Barbara only to attack, use your bait characters to defend.

My tip: Wait for the rain. It may take a stupidly long time for it to start raining, but if you're afraid to even approach that thing it shouldn't make a difference. Tysm for this tutorial I adapted it to my own my method for people reading comments: use amber before it hits with missiles to stun it then keep hitting it with Barbara's water then switch to kaeya and do the ice attack and that will freeze it where you can attack using kaeyas sword and Lisa zaps

Guysss I finally killed it the trick is to do Diona and Barbara combo plus the main dmg dealer so wet him with Barbara then shoot him from a far or close but fast distance until he gets frozen so you dmg him with your main dmg dealer personally it was a mixte of The traveler anemia power with xiangling

YES I FINALLY BEAT THIS STUPID THING AFTER COUNTLESS TRIES 😭 I used this team: Lv. 40 heizou (I didn't really use him too much so you could just use any DPS character here.) Lv. 50 Kaeya (I used him along with Layla to freeze the stupid thing.) Lv. 20 Layla (used her for a sheild, you could also probably use Noelle if you don't have her.) Lv. 40 Barbara (I used her for healing and making the ruin guard affected with hydro so Layla and Kaeya could freeze.) Barbara did end up dying twice tho- so just keep that in mind lol

ok i just beat it now; my party: noelle, lisa, amber, rosaria. if u don’t have rosaria then use kaeya, lisa worked really well (level 27) and i used amber to shoot the eye when the hunter was in the air. i used noelle’s shield at all times and used rosaria to finish him off. i also ate a fisherman’s toast and jade parcels to help me! that’s all
