Do you think its worth me waiting for the English version of Volume 1 which comes out at the end of August or just get the Japanese version. I know sometimes the quality can change when bought to other areas.

Not much difference to be honest. Because it's an artbook there are no huge chunks of text to be translated, so I think you can get the Japanese version if you can't wait :)

I got it from the Genshin official store on Taobao China. You can use a proxy service to buy it or wait for a translated version in your country :)
