Finally, the moment we’ve all been waiting for, Zhongli’s big reveal! (Gosh, there is so much lore for this man-)
I don't know what kind of sugar-induced speedrun I was on last night, but the text moves pretty fast and at this point I've already spent three days trying to fix it so I've given up - I'm really sorry if it's hard to read!
I’ve always seen Ningguang get surprised when she finds out Zhongli is Rex Lapis, but I’ve never seen her mad. I feel like she’d be absolutely furious, given that she sacrificed her Jade Chamber to save Liyue, only to find out that Morax was literally right there and chose to do nothing.
I also never see anyone talk about Havria, so I thought it’d be interesting to see what they think about that.

I really enjoy how realistic you have the characters especially with zhognli’s test as you can see both sides of the argument. Like it makes sense that ninguang and the rest of the jade palace crew would be rightfully upset about Rex lapsing, the god they praised and honored, allowed fatui to awaken a powerful old sea god, allowed his gnosis to be taken, and didn’t even try helping the adeptis and humans trust each other sooner. Honestly, I feel like a lot of zhongli’s plan would have ended in disaster if the traveler wasn’t there. Think about it, the travelers the one that brought the adeptid and humans to form an allaince, they foungt the harbingers and ultimately did the final blow against the sea god. If the traveler wasn’t there I don’t think rex’s test would have gone as nicely as it did. The most common argument for what he did is that he would have dealt with it if the humans and adeptus couldn’t deal with the situation. But even if that we’re the case one that dosent mean they can’t be upset even if it ended good and two what would have had to happen if they failed? Them dying or letting the sea god flood Liyue? Either way, he’s risking a lot of people’s lives when as ninnguang says in the video they could have come to a safer solution if he tried to talk about it first.

I do agree! I was trying to show both sides of the argument (I will admit I was definitely biased towards Ningguang's side, though), but yes. Rex Lapis did a test to see if the people were prepared to go on without him, because I would assume being a god for a couple thousand years is tiring. And that's fair! But the way he ran the test is a bit of a problem - sure, he would have stepped in if things got "out of hand" - but is an ancient sea god awakening and almost defeating the adepti and the rest of them not "out of hand" enough? As you said, if the Traveler hadn't been there, then Rex Lapis probably would have needed to step in - but could he do it fast enough to save everyone? And if he comes back after supposedly dying, would the people still trust him enough to revere him?

I totoslly agree with that your statement that Rex lapis would have faced major backlash as A: if his plan was revealed to the public and B: acknowledge the fact that the adeptus and qixzing only won because the traveler was there and through the skin of their teeth. If they had failed then it could have ended with not only them hurt or dead but also the millions of people in liyue going to be flooded by an angry sea god. Also for all the people in comments saying they need to understand zhongl’s position as an old god and that ninnugang is being insensitive, first of all ninguang and anyone else involved during the osalil fight would have been upset at the reveal that their god let their homes be flooded for a test. Two, yes Zhongli dosent want to be an archon and yes he would have stepped in if it got too bad, that still wouldn’t change the fact that they still have every right to be upset because he could have prevented all of this but didn’t. Thirdly, no one can understand Rex lapis besides the other archons and adeptus why? Because everyone else is mortal. They don’t have the years zhongli has, seen the worsts of war and death, or time to focus on the future. They can only focus in the present. And in the present all they know is that their god Rex lapis allowed dangerous harbingers and an upset sea god almost destroy their home because he wanted to rest if they can learn to live without him.

I actually had to side with Zhongli there, after all, he was just an individual before he became a god. And as he watched over for over three thousand years, he did need a break. After all, everybody can't always rely on god to fix their issues or aid them. So his test was indeed needed, especially when the Adepti didn't cooperate much with humans at the time until us/Traveler came along. And with the issues fixed, the humans and adepti cooperated just like Zhongli wanted. What he did was indeed necessary, to even prove that the Adepti and Humans at that scene had faith in each other for that battle.

To be honest Ningguang doesn't need an explanation I mean everybody has their own secrets that don't need to be told or explain to people that found out. Also I mean it would be tiring for Zhongli to rule Liyue for thousands of years and the people wouldn't accept it at all especially the people that guilt trips him announcing retirement in Liyue while the people there relied on him too much would not let it go it will be more difficult than faking death because they can learn acceptance faster

I think the reason Zhongli just watch the Adepti, Millelith, & Qixing fight Osial was to test Ningguang's leadership. Since she sacrificed the Jade Chamber, what do you think would've happened if she didn't? or what do you think would've happened if she did sacrifice the Jade Chamber but Osial was still there? Then Rex Lapis would have to show up and fight Osial and his plan to retire would fail.

In my opinion Ningguang is being a fool, Zhongli had to know that the city was prepared to fend off a dangerous enemy's without him, because once he gave up the title of "god" or if you before "archon" he wouldn't be able to help them with dangerous attacks anymore, so he needed to know they could thrive without him and not crumble like shattered cookies. It was a tough decision I'm sure but he made a plan to step in if things looked bleak or they looked like they wouldn't be able to do it. If they failed and couldn't protect the city he planned to stop the commotion and wait a few more years to retire. Instead of seeing why he did it and try to understand all she saw was a selfish god who had turned there back on the city and staged an attack and destroy work that she took years to make. ALSO: Love the video it was realistic and i think that is something Ningguang would actually do, though I hope she understand what she did wrong in the future :P

Well hate to break to you, but the way he did it was all wrong, he was planning on using humans and other beings to see if they would be without him. While I understand the logic behind that, it doesn't exclude the fact that he would let his people die over some tests. If it all went to hell he would show up and fix but don't take away how little value human life ( him being a god is understandable for not understanding important of human life) but all this was for nothing, nothing was gained except a god of nation will take a break now since his people can handle themselves. Do you see how selfish that sounds, yes he has his reasoning but that reasoning doesn't make it right, and just how Ningguang is a fool for not seeing anything logical in his choice. Like he said it was a deal but he didn't get much out of it. That's what she probably pissed about. Sorry but no mortals would blindly accept that their God would do that to them. I absolutely adored the video and everything felt pretty realistic and in character, the only bit that really bothered me is that Ningguang kept saying that Zhongli isn’t a god anymore, when he still is, he’s just not an archon anymore. He’s still an Adeptus and a god, the only difference is the slight loss of power due to having no gnosis. He’s still more powerful than everyone in that room. Love the videos, absolutely adore them. I was so excited when i got the notif that you uploaded, absolutely can’t wait for the next part!

I think you forgot some plot in the story quest, it was mentioned by Zhongli that he had gave both the qixing and the adeptus some hints of the fact that he is still alive. The fact that the Qixing had announced his “death” to the people of Liyue with a fake reason means that they know Rex Lapis is still alive. There was the 2nd Zhongli story quest, Aether also asked him if what his friend had become was one of the reason he retired as an archon which he agreed. I love this and all but I hope you don’t mislead some new players!

I kinda don't like how they keep misunderstanding zhongli's so called test here. I also don't like that ningguang just lost her faith on zhongli. It's very sad to watch getting angry on him like that to the point that I almost stopped watching. Among the the eps, this is probably one of my least fave. But overall it was still a good ep. The venti one is still my fav!

@@Jarock316 The Gnosis is more a symbol of their status as an Archon and a connection to Celestia. Without one, Venti, Zhongli, and Ei are all still gods, just not 'Archon's. Ei hasn't had hers for centuries already, since creating the puppet Raiden Shogun and withdrawing to her mind/Plane of Euthymia. Venti can still command the winds and was originally a wind sprite or whatever he said he was (an elemental being of the wind), Zhongli is still the god of Geo, just not the Archon for Liyue. The Archon War was a war between the gods for the position of Archon. It has nothing to do with granting Godhood...

She's a mortal, seeing things from a mortal standpoint, and she's justified in being angry about the events in Liyue. She doesnt see things from the outside standpoint like us watching do, so she's going to react to what information she gets. I'm glad the creator had her be upset, because it would pretty unrealistic otherwise. Obviously this is just my take on it but it gets me a bit ticked off when people keep saying she was being insensitive because ofc she was. @@pon2804 I’d be pretty freaking angry too if the president started a war and then once we won went ‘it was a just a test bro’ She has every right in the world to be angry, Liyue is HER city. The Qixing never trusted the divine in the first place, Ningguang seems pretty on edge about it in the quest, and Keqing flat out says that Liyue would be better off without them. Zhongli never did anything for Liyue in the past 500 years apart from drop from the sky every year and give predictions. Ningguang is the real leader of the city and Zhongli had no right to just go ahead and make a huge test that involved a hurricane that ripped up the harbor, realistically would have destroyed all of the ships and docks, and killed and injured many people. There’s nothing that justifies what Zhongli did. He just wanted peace of mind and acquired it in the worst way possible,

Actually, I kinda agree w/ Morax here. After all, he did say it himself; that if the danger was indeed too high for Liyue to withstand alone, he would make an appearance and stop it himself. Also, that would mean that the people would’ve failed the test which would have led him to take up the leadership of Liyue again, probably. And since he can’t keep ruling forever, or let his people become too dependent on him, he would have to part ways with them some time or another. Also, I think that the test he gave them was actually pretty considerate, judging by the fact that he could have probably just left things at his “death” and not even check if they would be alright without him. Anyways, he wouldn’t have set Liyue a hurdle that he thought they couldn’t get through. Okok spent wayyyy too much time on this. Making it clear, this isn’t a hate speech. Actually, it was really interesting watching it from another perspective, other than “omg Morax is the best and I will give my life for him”

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love the detail in your videos. You take time to make them all have actually personalities and characteristics like they do in the game or similar to their game selves at the very least. The fact that Archons doesn't even need gnosises in particular. 💀 Even if they gave away their gnosis they're still be considered as a God. Gnosis is just a device that gives you connection to the Celestia, nothing more or less. If I remember correctly from Ventis words, anyone can have gnosis, if they reach Celestia or something, but not all can become God with it. Its funny actually how people forget about that fact, since Venti was talking about this in the beginning of the game, when you see him under that huge tree and he sends you to Liyue.

I must say, i did not expect such dedic1tion on a gacha video of all places. Especially with all the other videos being just edge, angst and subpar edit(by that as inhabitant of teyvat they lack the context of somethings we take for grantzd such as proven by the ambulance). If i could make a proposal for the baal video, i would prefer that as shown heee to show how she is rather than embelishing her actions by the simps(it is still murder, being pretty or not knowing how to cook will not change that), thought there was a video posted where the fatui reacted where it depicted ei passing the blade to the raiden shogun as she pull it out from her chest. An amusing detail id like for them to react.

There are only 2 things I don't like about genshin impact, 1 there is no option to pet or hug paimon and I would kill someone for mihoyo to add that feature. 2 it takes way to long to level up the adventure rank without extensive grinding. And honestly whoever doesn't agree with number 1 doesn't have a soul
