Zhonglis demo is just iconic idk its so good. Partially the reason why it has so many views is because every time a new character is released and their demo drops, loads of people go rewatch his demo. Every single time. Its to "fulfill the contract", cos Zhongli loves his contracts, so ig everyone just swore to go rewatch his every time a new one drops. Hes truly just a very well loved character both in gameplay and in general.

I got Zhongli on re-run banner and when i saw his demo, i was determined. i set my goal, i got focused saving my resources to get him. since day one, he is in my party. He also changed my mindset, just as that reddit user mentioned. with his mentality, calming voice i realised a lot during these years playing Genshin and he turned me into better person with better understanding people (no joke). And of course, whenever i feel down, i watch his demo because it gives me very powerful, yet calming vibes. it is how it is, CEO of GEO

26:55 Her past is something the stories and events don't really get into ingame. The most that people know about it are from the texts in the character profile you unlock through upgrading your friendship levels. She was just an ordinary human girl (implied to be from the same ancestry or at least martial art school as Keqing) who was picking herbs in the wilderness one day when she slipped and fell off a cliff/mountaintop. She dragged herself to a nearby cave and was sitting there in pain. Some adepti and demons were fighting nearby, and accidentally caused a cave-in, which buried her under the rubble and killed her. A vision appeared right before she died and it got their attention. The adepti felt sorry for her, so they worked together to try to revive her. Their energies overflowed in her body so she went berserk until one of them had to encase her in amber. She eventually got out at least a hundred years later and was found by Baizhu, the playable pharmacist of the game. He took her in with the intent to study her special condition to find a way to achieve immortality for himself. Hu Tao harassed her all the time, trying to kidnap her and put her out of her misery. But Qiqi was insistent on staying alive and was also often rescued by Baizhu. Xiao is implied to be involved in her resurrection. The only other adeptus confirmed to be involved is an NPC called Mountain Shaper.

oh yes the CEO of GEO. And oh my god that soundtrack. But Keith Silverstein's phenomenal voice acting in particular makes this character quite unique. Visually there is still room for improvement, especially in the side profile (peanut skull). And the light/shadow ratios often look terrible in the game. As if he were wearing a chalk mask. However, I love this figure very much. Not even Neuvillette could destroy the bond. Since we only seem to get child characters and wifu's now, it's unlikely that another male character will ever make it. So yes, I'm definitely one of those people who watch this trailer every now and then and get nostalgic about the time when everything was okay in Genshin.

Since you like picking apart the animation I would suggest you check out Genshins few examples of 2D animation (not live 2D, though they are gorgeous). "Tsubaki in the Thawing Snow" Short trailer (mostly live 2D, but contains one shot of 2D animation) Sumeru Promotional video "Endless Suffering" Short Trailer (mostly live 2D, but starts off with 2D animation fight scene) "The Song Burning in the Embers" Animated Short These are the only videos I can remember that have actual 2D animation, other than the UFOTable collab, but I don't count that since it's made by different people. EDIT: I can't believe I forgot about "The Road Not Taken" Animated Short!

I got Zhongli on his release banner and he's never left. He's my main and I adore him. I love how much he loves his people. I love how he's gone through thousands of years protecting them. I love how he's taught them, nurtured them and raised them. I love how despite 'retiring' and allowing the Qixing to take care of his beloved Liyue, he still watches over them like a proud parent. I love how he accepts change and makes sure that the Qixing constantly updates the laws of Liyue to fit the times. I love how he's always encouraging people. I love how he doesn't force others to worship him and offered them protection even if they worshipped another God (Chenyu Vale, Sal Terrae). I love how he's so patient even if people wrongly accuse him of things he's never done (Havria's quest). I love how he listens to the stories of Rex Lapis in order to remember his old friends. I love how the people of Liyue also respect and love him so much to the point where they know it's him even if he's in disguise. I love how his people had built him a mansion but he declined this gift because he wanted to be near his people. These are just the many reasons out of thousands more of why I love this man.

i really suggest watching all the character demos. maybe character teasers and story teasers too, and that includes most importantly A Winter Night's Lazzo (which i REALLY reccomend), Overture teaser: The Final Feast and Ignition Teaser: A Name Forgotten In Flames. I WOULD suggest version trailers but that would be take too much, some highlights from these tho are all x.0, x.1 and x.2 version trailers (except 1.2 and 2.2), 1.5, 3.3, 3.5, 4.6 and 4.7.

I can highly recommend you the anniversary videos from genshin. they are not on the official channel from genshin. "Light in the abyss", "Flickering dust" and "Tales of the fatui" are the best imo, but all the other videos they have there are also very good

I actually started playing genshin way back in 2021 around version 1.5 after I saw Zhongli and Diluc's character designs, I remember my jaw literally dropping to the flooring when I saw them. Without any hesitance, I updated Genshin that was just sitting around for months on my phone without me ever playing after its release and made an account and I still play the game till date! I was lucky to get Zhongli during his next rerun and I'd only pulled a Diluc after losing my 50-50 nearly 2 years later on Yelan's banner. Needless to say, I'm still hooked to this game! Of course the game had its ups and downs and there were times when I was left so burned out or just got too busy with life, but I still keep going because i'm looking forward to the day the Teyvat chapter ends and we move on to Khaenri'ah + I rly RLYYY wanna se Dainsleif becoming a playable character!

There actually WAS a touch of ambiguity in Liyue's storyline ("X senselessly slaughtered while his people watched in horror" could have had a very different meaning), it's just that at least the start of Liyue was available so quickly that nobody really had time to run with it.
