If a child can do missions because less people would assume a child to commit crimes then I think the Fatui would use this option. The house of the hearth is an orphanage but to the Fatui (the organization not arlecchino herself) the kids are future soldiers. In Arlecchino’s eyes she probably feels as though the children without the orphanage would have far more grim fates, unfortunately accidents might happen where the kids don’t make it back from some missions.

I noticed some cool details about this demo, namely the children singing at <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="108">1:48</a> are each from a different nation. The back row left to right is probably Inazuma, Liyue?, Snezhnaya?, and Mondstadt, and the front row left to right is probably Natlan, Fontaine, Khaenri'ah?, and Sumeru. This probably reflects the children that Arlecchino takes in but also symbolizes the 8 nations. The black dust that envelops them could represent the cataclysm It's also interesting to note that at <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="87">1:27</a> we only see 7 children running along when there is 8 in the choir, which could allude to the surviving 7 nations of the cataclysm or the 7 nations that worship an archon.

Fun fact: In Lyney's teaser and Lynette's demo, the moon was emphasized. It feels like a hint towards their father's acossiation to the moon.
