No, Ed was really angry. Stede's "i like your beard, the length" at 11:00 just made him pissed off. And Stede could not stop being defensive in the following fight untill that beard talk came again to help him find the right words and melt Ed. Its hard to apologize to a very angry person without being defensive that kills the essence of apology. I lived through it 😅
