its a shame this was the last thing this man ever did, the quality of it all is staggeringly beautiful, the staggering amount of details, like the soldier bots jaw shaking to help express fear on something with no facial animations, the "clunk" sound that occurs as the soldier bots head locks onto the pyro, the gambling table filled with the poker night items and honestly i could go on

Oh, it's far more impressive than that. The sound effects are actually from the Futurama episode where the song originates. The animation has actually been adapted to accommodate them.

I think I just watched that video for the first time in like 7 years. And working in video production now I do have a better understanding of how good this actually is. What is also really impressive is the cinematography of it all. Especially how the camera moves, pans and stops perfectly synchronized to the song. Not only that, it also supports the song with it's movement (like in a good music video). It's a bit too much to describe right now but it basically uses cinematography and shot composition very well to visualize and support the song. People might think that's easy in animation but it is actually not. There are also creatively shot stylistic scenes like the bot getting roasted by pyro. Also sometimes the character animation is very fluid while othertimes it becomes super sloppy for comedic effect. Overall just a fantastic piece of animation.
