Such a haunting and beautiful piece. This is one of my favourite GG albums. Incredibly talented musicians and composers. Their music is unique. It stands the test of time. Only those who’ve acquired the taste can truly appreciate it.

Gentle Giant we’re the best prog group. Too bad they didn’t get the recognition they deserved . I feel like I’m in a secret club that only the people who understood their music could enter. GG forever!

This album is their crowning achievement, complete masterpiece, IMHO.

This song has one of the most innovative in all of the 70s' prog music. It reminds me of the intro to Maurice Ravel's "Laideronnette, impératrice des pagodes" from his Ma mère l'Oye suite which is also a masterful work of orchestration.

I first heard this at the age of 13 and boy did it drag me away from TRex and Black Sabbath. I saw them live in 73 at age 13 and I've never seen anything better at age 62.

@@f-3005 I just read the lyrics. I’ve never read them before for this song. I guess I stand corrected ;) they sound as though the words are sung by numerous voices and I still hear a bit of GONE in the GO lyric. And possibly BER. Still incredible! I like the separation of the the word remember to fit into this part of the song, oh well! STILL LOVE IT!
incredible wonderful music somehow even stranger than frank zappa . listen and enter this dream

All the best music should have some element of comedy whether it's deliberate or found when analyzing it. I think this song has some riffs and lines that give off this mischief vibe as well
