That oily blue look when you case harden something would make that blade look absolutely stunning!

Appreciate your style and content! So good my 2 1/2 year old begs to watch "Jeremy"! He knows your face and voice and is offended if he catches me watching your vids without him. As a beginning knife maker, I enjoy watching you solve the problems you run into and admire your work immensely. Keep it up!

The hardest part of knife making is sometimes just figuring out what handle to put on the next knife. So many things to choose from!

Thanks for answering my question! And I agree 100%... The hollow just seems to "stick" to the wheel, thus better control. With the platen it's not as forgiving.

We've had this conversation before but it warrants saying again. This much work to produce a beautiful knife. Please show us that you put your mark on your work. And the NZ wood is pronounced Cow ree. Thanks for the vid Jeremy.

Are you going to add this design to your store ? I have been after a custom sheepfoots knife for ages as I work at sea and this blade looks awesome, looking forward to seeing the finished knife.

I generally don't like Corby bolts as much as loveless bolts, the loveless may not look as neat, although I like the like they "eye", but they feel more solid to me. I think copper would look good on that knife, maybe with a liner too...

Man I wanna come work for you! Take your videos to the Alec Steele Height lol Plus I really want to get back into this stuff. My local college actually allows you to major in Blacksmithing.

Not bad. Your videos start looking more like for example videos from Alec Steele. Could you also try to make some handle materials yourself, like micarta or G-10?

The wax is on the end of the wood to stop it drying out too quickly and splitting at the ends #woodturner Pete
@britishgecko85027 жыл бұрын
That wood you wandered what the end grain looking like I'm pretty sure it's sapele. And the zebra wood is actually called zebrano - zebra wood is an American thing so I guess it doesn't matter too much - also it smells like poo 😅 made a writing slope out of it and wasn't a fun experience

Does your mill handle metal? If so you could just mill the taper.

Always fun musical accompaniment for the video... love THAT aspect too! ...But when you're SPEED-TALKING...sort of overloading..gotta fast-forward through that till you stop it and talk at a normal CALM tempo. Maybe it's all that caffiene. I don't know, but YOU do. Huh?

River run Knives cool Thank u is there any more pin material there is
@GreterThurnburger7 жыл бұрын
be mindful of the angle of the tapered tang when drilling your pin holes into the wood. use the holes in the tang as hole jig for both sides, not your first scale you made holes into as sometimes done when making scales for a regular flat tang blade. (not 100% sure , but pretty sure)!
