Gentleman's Gazette May I suggest using an Israeli hand lotion called Ahava. It is with Dead Sea minerals, and it just works wonders.

Well, to be honest I prefer to go directly to a professional. A close friend of mine works at a salon, so whenever I need, I can always contact her for a good manicure, and since she's a close friend, I can always get a discount

I used to bite my nails for many years finally stopped 3 months ago. The regeneration of nail bed and gradual development of side framing of the nail by skin fold was amazing and unexpected. I thought initially that the fingers will remain dysfigured permenently but the remodeling of the skin was amazing. It just needs some patience

Good advice! However, I keep my nails longer. A bit of the white should be visible. It feels like you cut them too short for my style. Always happy to find your videos in my notifications :)

I find a nail brush to be indispensable also. Not only does it get the dirt from underneath your nails, it helps to keep cuticles in check and exfoliates the hand as a whole.

I'm using a straight nail clipper I inherited from my father some 30 years ago. The thing must be almost 50 years old, still works perfectly. I have been forced on travels to buy other nail clippers, and every single one of them turned out to be utter garbage. I goess it goes to show that they knew quality back then.

I like Germanikure clippers they are about 32 bucks and are finished of way higher quality than the ones you are selling for 150 bucks. You can also get a 7 piece set for about 150 dollars and it comes with an extra clipper for toenails, a dedicated glass cuticle tool, glass file, and a leather travel pouch.

You can actually buy nail clippers that catch the nails in the clipper after you clip. Great way to be able to use clippers anywhere without the fear of leaving a mess.

Nice video. However, you mentioned but did not illustrate toe nail maintenance. I often have struggle with the thick nail on the big toe. Cutting them after a warm shower does help. Do you have any other suggestions? Thank you!

Hello Sven, I was wondering if you have seen the trend of wearing shorts with your suit? I was wondering if you you think it is possible to pull this off or if it is something that we shouldn't even attempt?

Sven, I was wondering, what do you do if the end of your belt sticks out?
@doctorpc15316 жыл бұрын
Depending on the price of the belt and the amount of work you feel confident in doing yourself, either cutting it or getting one of a different length will be your best path. If you really want to avoid both, you might consider trying to clip it on somehow.

Kind Sir, whle cuticle scissors may be adiquate, what about soaking the hands in olive oil, and then trimming the cuticle with an orange stick? Much more refined results, with longer duration...Cheers,Montjoy47

Clipping cuticles looks scary. I just push mine gently back with an orange stick. Good point about filing the edges. Unfiled nails play havoc with ladies stockings...

Thanks for the video. Make sure you cut your nail after you've had a shower. The nail is softer and you will not end up with split cuticles.

Please use real nail scissors! At 1:20 you're using scissors made for hair (nose and beard) indicated by the big angled front end (so it won't poke you). These scissors are gone if used for only a couple of nails! Proper scissors for nails are superior to clippers in my opinion. However, more expensive and more delicate.

SEVENTH COMMENT!
@TodoGardel6 жыл бұрын
I love your videos, but you definitely should speak with british accent, that's much more elegant and more suitable for a gentleman. You have a really strong German accent (whether you like it or not) and combined with that American English accent the result is not nice. But you'll sound wonderfully as soon as you start speaking Standard British English. Thanks!
@shikiaura6 жыл бұрын
Todo Gardel As we all know, the idea of being a gentlemen is only for the British or old-time Americans.
@TodoGardel6 жыл бұрын
You could even say central-europeans. But could you imagine a gentleman in China? Or a muslim being a gentleman? The idea itself sounds totally ridiculous. And everything that this chanel tries to reflect is gentelman-like elegance, i.e. white, heterosexual males. (And just for the record, I'm not saying that nobody here is racist, sexist or homophobic, but each chanel has its audience and I'm positive we agree on celebrate diversity all the way)
@shikiaura6 жыл бұрын
Richard David Don't worry, I'm not about to assume that you're racist just because of this, but I don't really see the concept as having borders. I can pretty easily picture a Chinese gentlemen, as I've actually seen a few while my father was living there. Our concept of a "gentle man" is definitely Western, but the whole world has been going under a bit of Westernization for a while now. Maybe a few decades ago, I'd agree, but if even Africans often forsake their (in my opinion) better formal wear for suits, then we're a bit too unified for such a basic concept to be limited.
@thefreshestprince896 жыл бұрын
This comes across as a weird suggestion at first. Perhaps you mean Raphael's natural accent would come across more "elegantly" if he used British pronunciation rather than American? E.g. dance vs dance.
@Lisatwade6 жыл бұрын
How ridiculous. Let the man speak as he naturally does.
