One thing that make Maria the master is understanding the value of having space between her words. This makes them all the more potent due to the silence between them, or the sounds which she creates from her props. Other ASMR artists could learn a lot from her approach.

Yes! You articulated what I couldn't find the right words for - I just referred to it as Maria's ultra gentle techniques and whispers - she, like the other good ASMRtists, are patient enough not to rush their words or movements, which really is the whole effect, the trance effect.

Mind you, I am in a bit of a philosophical hermit-ish mode tonight, but what about a sponsorship code from Dior aimed at all the mothers watching this video? 1) Maria herself is a mom, and pregnant w/her 2nd. 2) So many women get sent mixed messages about self-care as a whole, but mothers end up sometimes feeling like they should automatically set aside their need and desire for self-care when they have kids. That message gets passed on to their kids, whether they have sons or daughters. Yes, there's a level of necessary self-sacrifice in being a parent. But I often feel that sometimes it's taken to unnecessary extremes. 🤔 Just putting it out there as food for thought. 🤷‍♀️

Maria! One of the OG ASMR Queens, looking like a 1930's-40's glamour Hollywood beauty, that hair in such a gorgeous twisty bun, beautiful. Love that Maria keeps up her quality and effort after doing this for so long - although one of my all time favourite Maria vids is her arms massage in a tiny, cosy simple space, from way back. But she had the same gentle whispering and there is something hypnotic and soothing about that one. I like the more polished videos but the early ones are still so good, too, it's Maria's VERY gentle technique that is consistent.
