NEW Givenchy Gentleman Society Extreme FIRST IMPRESSIONS - Coffee + Iris

I like it, immediately I was reminded of CH Pasión but with peppermint and clary sage notes at the top. I sampled it last night at Macy’s. Also the sales rep mentioned Macy’s will be having a sale on all fragrances and the end of March. She basically told me to pump the brakes on a Y Elixir purchase, so shoutout to her.

Definitely looked out for you. The Y isn’t worth retail for what it is. Straight shower gel with a nice in air trail basically.

I actually get a lot of coffee from this one. I really like it after a few wearings. Pretty mass appealing and easy to pull off I'd say.

@@jourdinthedragonit’s not going to smell like a dark coffee, the best one for that is kerosene fragrances follow. That’s the only cologne I know of with a real deal espresso scent nothing creamy and caramel like that would cover most of it

I wish they had developed the scent profile of the OG to be more like the Extreme. The timing is odd, too. We're entering spring, and this is a cold weather fragrance. The real flanker that they should have released would have been a Society fraiche or something. White bottle, white logo. Vetiver, mint, florals, light iris. Make it happen, Givenchy!

Used to pick up a designer bottle about once a month..everything just started smelling the same and prices went up. Havent bought a designer in about 8 months and dont see buying unless something changes.

Hey Ash. I just tried it 3 days ago. It reminds me a bit of the Valentino Uomo line , but less sweet in the mid, a much brighter beautiful opening, and a bit earthier dry down.the coffee note is very subtle but nice. Much better that the original IMO, I’m going to buy it when it hits discounters (CAD $175 / 100ml retail price 😮) Cheers!

... just picked it up, smelled it at the store and bought it. Then I realized how much is smelled like the original society. That changed when I wore them both of consecutive days. The original is a chocolaty iris and vetiver, and very subdued. Extreme is brighter, tangier and maybe a touch more floral. The coffee smells like a dark roast or an espresso. The dry down of the original is a dark, smooth vetiver. Extreme feels richer, more nutty. Just deeper. On my skin they are different enough to justify having both.

I've been very disappointed lately with any fragrance claiming to have coffee in it. Always extremely weak, very disappointing. Lattafa Khamrah Qawha did the same thing - supposedly has a coffee note that you can't even smell.
