Love the house of PDM. Haltane is my signature scent - opening is similar to OFG but the dry-down of Haltane is where it shines. Carlisle is a masterpiece and one I wear in fall and winter. Sedley is my spring/summer signature scent.

Carlisle has always been my favorite PdM. It is similar (but better) than Red Tobacco, but it actually came before Red Tobacco, so... I get Layton's universal mass appeal, but it's not quite dynamic enough for me to love it like almost everyone else does.

Layton and Pegasus are the most wearable for me. The rest that I’ve smelled seem to only work for certain occasions. If it’s not versatile I’m just not all that interested. The Exclusif flankers are very nice too and different enough to get as well as the originals.

Kalan is in my top 5 PdM fragrances as well. Its so strange how people are turned off by this one, some comparing it to TF Noir Anthracite 🤯, which is mind blowing to me...Kalan has a deep sweet cotton candy vibe, to me its similar to CdN Untold which is a clone of BR540...

My top 3 are Herod, Carlisle, and Oajan. Own only Herod, have Marly's samples of the others including Layton. Layton is not one that I gravitate towards too much. Same thing for clones and inspired-by's like Detour Noir, Boss Bottled Intense, Hillfiger Impact Intense. I have the first two of those and honestly, never feel inclined to smell or wear them.

I love Kalan. I actually just finally bought a bottle! I will say it seems like the least PDM fragrance that they have. And probably the most niche selling. It is a bit odd and earthy, but it personally one of my favourites and I think it’ll become a frequent wear for me.

I found that it was actually quite nice on the drydown, the opening is almost horrendous, though. definitely spray it on an hour before going out.

I have 8 PdM. Many of them in this list. The best is Godolphin. Nothing beats Godolphin when it comes to leather based fragrances.

Exclusif turns to charred bbq burnt wood scent after an hour on skin. I tried to love it over and over..topsoil with charred wood finish..my wife thought I sat by a bonfire all day after I wore Exlusif..to each his own I guess..I cant stand it..Opening is out of this world..but then it turns to burnt rubber with topsoil

@@yaro-8 Yeah it is very smoky! I know it is an either you love it or you hate it type of fragrance. To me, the opening is what is super different from the original. After it dries down I feel like the original starts to come out more which is why I preferred this one. The original Layton to me was a bit basic, just vanilla. I went for this because it added a nice razzle dazzle but I agree it is definitely not something I would wear every day.

Layton, Sedley/Greenley, Herod would make my top 3, followed by Kalan. Yeah, I kind of like that a lot in winter time, as it's different from your basic spicy cinnamon vanilla bomb xmas vibe scent. Quite unique.

Can't disagree too much. My top 3 are #1. Carlyle (at first I wasn't a fan, time went by...about a yr n half and thought I'd give it a whirl again. Cold weather is best for this so it was just recently. It has grown on me. #2. Sedley....love at first sniff. Love the mint in it..great for summer and even fall. #3. Layton..(again, like Carlyle it's been sitting on my shelf...just recently picked it up again and it's crazy medicinal at first for me but once it settles down it's a beautiful scent. Carlyle and Layton your gonna smell for days after. Love your content brother 👍

interesting i went to the PDM storefront in NYC and spent about 3 hours with the marketing director for the company, trying lots and lots of scents. maybe the marketing director was biased and trying to oversell me on Galloway and Pegasus but i came away feeling like those two in particular worked on my skin the best. that was many years ago now though, so i think i'm gonna full deep dive into getting my PDM (and all other fragrances) collection built back up, gonna start with Layton blind and go from there i appreciate the comparison of, say, Lalique White to Galloway. while i appreciate the high quality of PDM in general, a 90% discount for a very similar scent is a no-brainer 😅 instant sub! looking forward to consuming much more of your content as i build back up my collection!

Yes, of all the ones he reviewed, Percival is the most versatile...as most blue fragrances are. To me, Layton is a three season beast, but I think shines best in cool, but not cold, weather. One of my favorite fall fragrances.

Glad to see Layton as number one, that is the only PDM I own and I've sampled all of them, Layton and Haltane stood out to me the most, and if you own one, you dont need the other, they are not the same fragrance, but both are similar in terms of use case scenario, Layton is the superior one though.

Not a bad line up. Perseus is absent as it’s new but after sampling a ton of pdm’s it was my favourite for spring and summer. The drydown is superb. Would’ve possibly ranked Carlisle as no. 1 though. But I use it more for going out in nights.

I have 7 PDMs, then the video starts and 4 of my PDMs are in the bottom 5 😂😂 thankfully the other 3 are in the top 5….Hugely disagree on Kalan though, the opening is pretty weird but the dry-down is very pleasant and addictive..my own ranking: 8- Godolphin 7- Galloway 6- Percival (don’t have it now but tried and tested it many times before) 5- Pegasus 4- Kalan 3- Carlisle 2- Layton 1- Herod (tobacco king..ironically this was my least favorite PDM when I first got it)

Layton Exclusif is very polarizing. You're either going to like it or you might run to scrub if off. Personally, I thought it smelled disgusting and gave my sample away as soon as I could. How it makes it to the top of some lists blows my mind, but to each their own. In the end, there are scents out there for everyone 👍

Top 3 for me would be: 1. Layton 2. Carlisle (magic juice, would be on top but it is less versatile than Layton) / Herod 3. Darley / Percival Why was Darley not mentioned? Highly underrated. Regarding the comparison with Red Tobacco, which is awesome, I think Herod is much more comparable to Red Tobacco than Carlisle. But Carlisle and Herod are also very similar. I wonder if it is worth to have all 3 of them? (RT, Carlisle and Herod)

I own Galloway, Haltane and Percival. I really like Kalan, but my wife doesn't, so I've only ever had one travel spray of it, and my wife LOVES Layton, but I'm only meh on it so she buys me an 8ml travel spray from time to time as I only wear it when we have a date night. I've sampled Harod, Oajan, Carlisle, Sedley and Greenley, but none of them were for me. If I had to choose an overall favorite it would be neck and neck between Haltane and Percival, but I'd give the edge to Haltane.

I just blind buy layton exclusif. I was shocked at how much different it is to the original! So much so i actually thought i bought the wrong frag. Ppl saying they are similar, i strongly disagree. Exclusif is dark, mean and gives no excuses. I recomend smelling before buying.

Let me say. Kalan is my most complimented PDM fragrance and the one with better performances. I don’t like Layton a lot. Hate on percival the worst I tried! I love Oajan and Harod, full bottle in my collection with the red one Kalan! Cheers

I don't like layering but Galloway and Creed Royal Oud layered is fantastic.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. For me Kalan is a must have in your collection. All of PDM fragrances are unique and unusual to me and you can’t go wrong with any of their colognes. My personal Favorites: Kalan, Pegasus, Pegasus Exclusif, Layton Exclusif, Haltane, Althier, Sedley, Godolphin and Carlisle.
