I'm past the point where I need fragrances to last 18 hours, and have the paint peel off the walls when I walk by. These days, I like to think about performance in terms of floor rather than ceiling. If a fragrance can give me 6+ hours of longevity, and 90% of the ride is more than a skin scent, I'll be very happy with that.

Totally agree. BUT, you can call your frangance ANYTHING you want, naming it with a concentration term means you have to stand by those terms otherwise it's false advertising...

@@johngamer7Parfum doesn’t mean stronger! It’s just the concentration of oil I think. They usually have lower projection and longer longevity than edt but not always necessarily.

Much of it has to do with brands relying on some KZbinrs to promote their fragances, I can respect somebody trying to make a living out of talking about fragances, however, when you notice several consecutive videos with some of this guys talking about the same fragances, it becomes obvious that they are not giving you an honest opinion, they are just selling, and you can't really trust a seller. If you must blind buy then take your chances, if not is always better to try first

I've always wondered why fragrance houses don't communicate better with their customer base. What I mean by that is when you release a flanker or plan to, why don't they try to survey their audience and ask them what they are looking for in a flanker for a specific fragrance? Maybe they could better tailor the fragrance to what gets the most positive feedback. I don't know.

I think I might be in the minority here and I have both edp and parfum. To me the parfum lasts 8+ hours and projects consistently. The edp being a better projector the first hour but does to a skin scent while the parfum consistently projects very well

Parfum usually do not project like the EDP but it sits on the skin closer and does last longer.

Ives spayed Eau de parfum on my left back of my hand and Parfum on the right back of my hand. It's past midnight and the parfum is still going strong while the eau is fading away. So for me it's the opposite. Plus, the parfum smells like burned wood in the beginning and gets a warm sweet scent after an hour.
