I've been picking up the Tiny Arcade versions simply for desktop collectibles. I rarely play them, but they are fun to look at. I have all of them in the collection at this point. I've been doing some research on more playable versions, and the Replicade (1/6) and Quarter Arcade (1/4) versions look more promising. The 3/4 1Up versions are just a little too big and pricey. At this point it truly becomes a trade off on price versus collectability. I'll never be able to afford a full arcade room with each individual cabinet (or have the space for them) unless they are pint sized. I hope they keep coming out with smaller versions so that I can keep collecting, then one day just get a single full size with an emulator for all the games and gameplay.
@GenXGrownUp4 жыл бұрын
I have the one cabinet to rule them all for emulation, but like you, I also just enjoy collecting these little desktop-sized ones. Thanks for watching, Mark!

Mark Steudlein The namco museum and Data East 34 are good Mini multi-cades with 20 games and 34 games respectively. Both have 4 inch screens which are nice and the 34 one can be seriously modded without doing any hardware changes to get some great games. But right-out-of-the-box you might find them to be a good solution with a combined 54 games and nice sized (10”) units with 4” screens. Throw on a Neo-Geo International (which has a ton of fighter games and a really outstanding screen) and that will add another approx 30 games As I recall. (Neo Geo is also moddable to double the games I believe).

lol @ the outro...i like the micro arcades better gameplay wise (like with the form factor if that's the term) even if the audio sounds 7 tiers worse, the tiny arcades are nice on a shelf but for stuff like galaga or pole position they can be a bit harder to play
