@@shangavi9585 I also noticed each of the three Bridgerton brothers would be in 3 different houses : Anthony would be in Gryffindor since his actions are motivated by passion (his love for Sienna and his overprotective personality towards his siblings) and he is quite impulsive and stubborn in his role as lead of the house. Benedict would be in Ravenclaw since his actions are motivated by a desire to explore his knowledge beyond upper society's expectations (his desire to be a painter, the exploration of his possible bisexuality, his introvert and calm nature). Colin would be in Hufflepuff since his actions are motivated by a will to help and comfort others, and also being kind and honest towards them (when he dances with Penelope after her dress was ruined or when he told Marina he would marry her without hesitation if she has told him the truth).

You read the books and realise that Colin is supposed to be the most charming brother and they made him seem a little bit ditzy also, he was supposed to be extremely close to Daphne yet that relationship wasn't explored either. But I hope they give Penelope's character a little bit more arch I felt like the book really made her into a girl just madly in love with Colin when she was so much more like Lady Danbury had said to her.

Only going bu the show because I only read book one. Debating on reading the others aside from book 2 and 4, but mainly 4. By the show’s standards, they were the healthiest, most honest, and mature pairing on the show. Even before the pamphlets were shown, Penelope told him what happened. Also, their relationship is formed by pure friendship versus just lust with the other couples. Need more of them. If done well, just need the whole show to revolve around them. Only reason I watch next to Eloise and her friendship with bendetict. The rest is filler.

Marina does make an appearance in the books, remember? Eloise's book. She's the woman who lost her loved one in the war, and ends up marrying his brother (sir phillip), and she has twins. And then eloise writes to him when marina dies, as marina was a cousin thrice removed or smt. So i kind of liked that they tied that into the series to have extra drama. It explains better why he randomly would up and leave to go to greece/cyprus. Although back then they didn't need a reason, i guess. And i am unsure if that means eloise isn't gonna have her turn? Or if they're just changing the story a bit.

In Colin's book, I fell in love with his reactions to everything. The way he got so angry he had to stand still and pray to God he doesn't explode was the cutest thing ever. He had a wall up of good jolliness and Pen was one of the few people that could move him to extreme emotions. I think when you are a person that always has this wall up, this facade, then it makes sense that the emotions once you let them creep out might seem more explosive. I didn't quite like it either in the book, but it made sense to me as a realistic character development.

According to the books he was the one who knew right away that Kate and Anthony would suit, as he was actually the one who introduced them. He nudged Benedict in the right dirrection to make up his mind about marring Sophie AND he used reverse psychology on Michael Sterling to wed Francesca. When they get engaged Marina has know Colin at least a month, but probably less than 4 months, likely somewhere between 2- 3 months. We know they met very close to when Marina first came to London (already pregnant, but likely very early in her pregnancy). Marina has been in London about a month when her pregnancy is discovered, (her not bleeding for that month is how they know). At that point various ways of handling the situation are attempted, sending Marina away, marrying her to creepy old guy etc., before trapping Colin is even proposed. At one point during this Lady Featherington mentions that the baby will be born in about 6 months time, which means she can't have been in London for more than 3 and a bit months at that point (pregnancy is just over 9 months, 40 weeks) Colin's proposal come sometime after this. One thing that helps Marina is that regency gowns seem DESIGNED to hide the early/mid stages of pregnancy with their conveniently placed waistline and general puffiness front and back. Remember all agreed balls and various events and picnics of Daphne's and Hasting's agreement has past, their non-break up break up, near-scandle and wedding.

They really put Marina in that beautiful yellow gown during the engagement announcement just to make Penelope feel even more bad about herself, huh? Also, I love that Colin is wearing a more jewel toned colored jacket in that scene. It makes him blend in with the Featheringtons and that's some pretty sweet foreshadowing. (Update: I didn't realize this before, but that's also the same jacket Colin was wearing at the ball when he danced with Penelope! The show really, REALLY wanted to hurt Penelope in this scene. )

I truly loved the Penelope-Colin chemistry however, there was some parts of him that are intolerable like his temper. Whenever he's outraged, he is unreasonable.I love them both but I just can't swallow the fact that he would rather hurt Penelope (in the book) only to contain his temper.

(Spoilers) Right!? I felt that was so strange! In order to not make a scene and remain calm in front of the ton at the engagement party, he chooses to hurt her instead? Even though he's been saying Whistledown and the ton only ever saw him as charming and he felt he was more than that. He literally had the chance to change that or I don't know, just not get physically angry and keep it in until they left the party. To me at least, it felt out of character that he would decide to hurt Penelope over showing the ton he was upset about something, but maybe I've watched the show too many times so show and book Colin's have merged
