Well if you go that route I highly recommended it. I have always been to cheap and did a basic glass one. But these custom ones are next level!

Pretty slick! Congrats on the final piece of the tank. I will be interested to see how the cryptic reactor works over time, and if it accumulates detritus, etc. Great method for essentially extending the sump volume and adding more biofiltration. Thanks as always for the great video!

Nice and I really like that you're running a cryptic reactor, I was thinking of doing something similar with my current build. There's a thread on R2R that I still upon that is very informative on cryptic zones.

Will copepods be able to make it from the refugium back to the display since the black sponge filter is in the way to block the chaeto from entering the tank?

Could put in a very coarse sponge to allow pods through but keep chaeto out.

I would think they could make it no problem. They would probably populate in that sponge. In my tank nothing stops them cause they are everywhere and I only added them to the fuge originally.

That sump is doooope. Will definitely be using geos on my next build. Don't want to be negative Nancy but what are you going to do for nitrate and phosphate? You have the roller, skimmer, I'm guessing carbon in the reactor, the refugium, and the cryptic. Sounds like some crazy over complex filtration.

Nice flow thru of the sump! It's hard to gauge the demissions and gallons. What are your thoughts on a split lid for the skimmer chamber?

well you have to plan and stick with one skimmer for it to work but i LOVE having lids on all the chambers, contains all the water/less evap/less noise/less smells, less humidity in your stand. Tons of benefits to it. Plus it gives it a nice polished look!

Man that's crazy cool! I wonder about the ro float valve being right next to the probes. Won't the ro water mess with your readings? Or maybe the return pump is strong enough that it doesn't matter. :)

Yea we shall find out! It’s magnetic so I can always find it a new spot if need be. Or just further down by the reactor but then the rodi would flow towards the probe. Not you got me curious

Time will tell! I have read lots about cryptic zones in the past and their advantages. For me it keeps the sump cleaner. Forces water though the bio media rather than around it. Prevents alage on it etc. So so good potential advantages.
