Geo Tracker Drum Brakes and Wheel Cylinders

1992 Geo Tracker gets new rear brake shoes and wheel cylinders by a guy who likes to DIY! Again, I'm not a mechanic but I like to save money and always attempt to do the job myself if it's not too complicated. I highly recommend getting a spring removal / install tool kit for this job as I fought trying to get the springs back in place for an hour without the tool (not shown in video due to extreme frustration and language!)😆 I can laugh about it now.

After watching this video I did my tracker rear drum brakes today. It was simpler than I expected. The only trick is to release the self-adjuster unit (the gizmo JENSEN DIY forgot to install) to get the drums back on over the new shoes. Then readjust them by stepping hard on the brake pedal a few times. You really can't pre-adjust them like standard US domestic drum brakes.

Thank you very much. It helped me a lot. Instead of spring tool next time use cable ties :) zip it, put your ring on the end of spring, stretch spring, cut yout zip tie after job done :) they are cheap, you have some in your garage for sure, and they are doing the job :) Kind regards from Poland :)

Lordco auto parts, but you can order them online as well. Pretty sure they are raybestos brand
