You know what? I bought the Haynes service and repair manual.... I've spent SO many hours reading random forums and getting nowhere! Watch this 20 min video... Wow! That's so easy! I can do that! Awesome video! Really helped me out a lot! 👍

Replacing the pre-filter is what I had to do to get my Rzr 900 back up and running last fall. The hard part was taking out the fuel tank ⛽️ just to get to it. You made it look easy on you Geo Tracker.

Trackers are easy to work on. That’s one reason I like them. I’ve had to drop a fuel tank in a couple of other vehicles I’ve had, and this one is by far the easiest.

18:45 exactly what I was looking for. I've got a 94, fuel pump ~makes noise~ but instantly blows fuse, so i think it's something "electrical". Thing is, whole thing is too f-ed to fix properly. So I wanted to cut an access hole or at least see the wires, and would rather not have a full tank of gas around the work. So I guess that's gonna happen no matter what

Pull the drivers side tail light. Put 12 volts to the pink/black wire. Pull the line off the fuel filter and pump the tank dry. I’d still suggest dropping the tank. Even if it’s all rusted out, the 4 bolts will be easier to deal with than cutting a hole in the floor. If you do cut a hole use an air chisel, if you use a torch you may end up on the moon.

Also, the wires for the fuel pump run through the drivers side rocker panel. If it’s rusted out, you may have a short somewhere in there.

@@haroldshobbies When I put 12v to the pump it runs for a second and then blows a fuse. That's what makes me think it's electrical Got my hatch open, and found "access" to the top of the tank (floor's rusted out)under the carpet. My fix (can't link imgur of ratchet straps) holding the tank on I think pinched the wires too long and probably causing a short. my tracker is a real piece of work

I had to change my gauge sender. I let the tank hang from the filler neck and had plenty of room to work. But I also don’t have the hitch.
