I'd like to make a suggestion. If you put the dry dye directly on the damp with soda ash shirt and THEN the ice, you'll get a much better saturation. I love how the dyes break into other colors. That's my favorite thing about ice dyeing...it's so freaking pretty. Thanks for sharing your videos.

Thanks! No I haven’t weighed how much I use. It’s more of a visual thing. I just make sure there’s a decent coverage. I use more for dyes that don’t break for better coverage and a bit less for ones that do break to allow those breaks to manifest.

Me neither but muck dyes are like that. You’d think everything would bleed together and turn out a solid colored shirt, but that’s the magic of the muck.
