I was scraping over youtube looking for instruction videos and I serendipitously clicked on this video, as soon as I heard "welcome 2 anada Tuytorial". I heaved one huge sigh and began dancing!!. GeoDelta labs, I owe in part my GIS career to you!!!

Successfully made the geological map of my research area because I couldn't find anything on any publications. Thank you for the clear tutorial! P.s. I couldn't access the USGS website because I'm in Greece, but nothing a VPN couldn't solve.

Exactly! but just out of curiosity, why would one not be able to access the USGS website from Greece? Thought it can be accessed from anywhere

It gives me joy to listen to you teach. The fluidity and the mastery of the subject are in their own league. I'm just trying to download the files following the steps you showed. It works with geologic map shape files but not with the faults shape files. They say the server is not found. Please could you share your own downloaded faults shape file with those, who are unable to download them?.

Good tutorial, but I have a little pet peeve. You should never put only the lithostratigraphic unit initials in the legend of a geological map. Put their full names instead, so that it is easier to search for those units and that the map can stand for itself.

Hi, may I know what you mean exactly by "producing a basemap"? if you are referring to adding a basemap to your map canvas, you would be able to do that using QGIS itself.

Hi, i really like your channel, but there is a very noticeable background noise in your video.. it is produced from too much gain on your microphone.. i guess your microphone is a dynamic microphone, and that's why you needed to max your microphone gain.. this noise problem can be easily solved by install an inline amp like Cloudlifter..
