Since the introduction of geosynthetic reinforced soil in the 1970’s, further research has been undertaken to provide a complete understanding of the behaviour of geosynthetic reinforced soil structures under different loading conditions.
This has led to an increase in the number of geosynthetic reinforcement types available in the market which raises the question, has new manufacture matched the level of testing required to establish the material properties needed for design?
This webinar will focus on the material properties and associated testing required for determining the design strength of geosynthetic reinforcement, starting from the short-term tensile strength and then considering the reduction factors for creep, installation damage and durability.
