Yes all Geoff, including the arrangements, recording, editing, filming, video editing, cover art, etc. With a lot of help from his wife Kathy. He does have someone do the final mix and he has an excellent makeup guy but that’s it. If they VoicePlay guys are helping it is with filming and lighting.

In all his solo videos it is the choir of Geoff. Such skill to all be him.

ALL voices are his, in all his videos. And many times you'll see he "clones" himself in 4 or 5 different characters, often with different voices, costumes, makeups and personality. They even have NAMES, mostly based on the most common misspellings of his name (Goff, Jeff, Geoph, and the last one, Daryl). 🙂 And that last touch, while the Patreon list is running... The snow, and that faint, sweet, delicate smile on his lips... A touch of "hope" after the vulnerability, sadness, and pain in his voice that were showcased in the song, just touches me so deep that I just HAVE to cry. 🙂 Next songs? Try the Hobbit pair... "Far over the Misty Mountains cold" (from The Hobbit - an unexpected journey") and "I see fire" (from "The Hobbit - The Desolation of Smaug"). But you could choose any of his videos... They're all good. 🙂 See you next time!

Two things I love most about Geoff is his humility and his down-to-earth-ness. He will tell you flat out he has the luxury of a home studio where he can record things over and over till it's right, and yet he will turn around and sit there in front of a camera and sing it LIVE. His agility to jump around between octaves simply blows. my. mind.

The "all him" refers also to the piano, the video concept and editing.

Thank you for your comments! I'd recommend watching "Ain't No Sunshine" or "Sixteen Tons" to listen to Geoff and his "clones" ... you'd get a feel for his range.

If you want to hear more of his higher range then high and dry is good starting point You can’t go wrong with his selection of videos 👍😂

The choir are most often called Geoff clones and they are named based on the misspellings of his name -- Jeff, Geoph, Goff, and Daryl. Usually 3 or 4 Geoff's are also in the video, but this one is unusual, it also happens in Sound of Silence. Check out Way Down where the Geoff clones are actually wearing their nametags. We all got such a kick out of it when we could call them by name if needed. Monster Mash is loads of treats. The Headless Horseman - real spooky and Ghostriders in the Sky are the Halloween videos he has on his video list. VoicePlay has many many more and In The Hall of The Mountain King is one of my favorites. Since you have a soft spot for the piano try: Shenandoah, Blackbird, High and Dry, and Sound of Silence. Country Roads, 16 Tons, Big Bad John, House of the Rising Sun, Ain't No Sunshine, Man of Constant Sorrow, Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold, and I See Fire are both from the 2 Hobbit films.

Appreciated your reaction. A little noticed fact is Geoff's "readings" such as The Raven, The Night Before Christmas, and several others. His "acting" also shines in early Partwork videos

Since we're in spooky season, I'd suggest Monster Mash, which was my introduction to Geoff, and boy did I fall down a fun rabbit hole with him and VoicePlay! Geoff's wife Kathy has a cameo in MM. She's seen in the outro here holding Zero, the ghost dog. Headless Horseman is sung in the style of Thurl Ravenscroft. Ghost Riders In the Sky came out last year and introduced us to the fourth clone, Daryl (in the long coat). The other clones previously got official names in Way Down, an Elvis and JD Sumner cover. That video is the emotional opposite of Ain't No Sunshine, and both show his range and hint at his acting skills. VoicePlay has an entire play list for Halloween. With Jack's Lament, you can now hear Geoff in five songs from Nightmare Before Christmas: What's This, This Is Halloween, Kidnap the Sandy Claws, and Oogie Boogie's Song. Dive in. There isn't a bad song on either VP or Geoff's channel. Play until the Patreon list scrolls, and have captions on. Because Geoff's wife has significant hearing loss, he often puts in funny stuff to read.

Geoff has an incredible vocal talent. He has a 5 octave range. I have heard him go down to a B0 and up to an A5. He also has the amazing talent of harmonizing with himself. All of the back ground voices you hear are created by him. His previous Halloween release of Ghost Riders in the Sky is a good example of this.

Absolutely love Geoff's talent! He is AMAZING. I'm a sucker for a good bass. Not sure if this has been recommended or not, but Avi Kaplan (formerly of PTX) is another great bass and his song Change On The Rise is so good! Highly recommend you check it out 🙂

Geoff didn't start doing solo work until the pandemic shut the world down. Voiceplay couldn't tour and her had "extra" time on his hands. This is his fourth Halloween piece, her also has Headless Horseman, Monster Mash, and Ghost Riders in the Sky. Voiceplay has for pieces from Nightmare Before Christmas, just so ya know. Subscribed in anticipation of more Geoff and Voiceplay!

If you check out the descriptions of his and Voiceplay's videos it tells you who did what. Geoff and Layne usually split the Voiceplay arrangements. Whoever is in charge of the arrangement generally plans the concept from beginning to end and then Ed Boyer does the final mixing. For Geoff's videos it's usually just him and his wife Kathy although sometimes Eli will do the lighting and/or Layne will run sreadicam. But vovally it's all Geoff.

There is no choir it's all Geoff. In most of his videos, you will find four or five clones. Geoff and his wife Kathy do most everything themselves. two-thirds of this set came from Geoff and Kathy's home/yard decor. Arranged, Produced, Performed, Directed, and Edited by Geoff Castellucci, Concept and Creative Direction - Geoff and Kathy Castellucci, Makeup - Rick Underwood, Production Manager - Kathy Castellucci. Geoff and VoicePlay do almost everything themselves. Every song on his channel.

The makeup artist for this (as well as many other videos by Geoff and VoicePlay) is Rick Underwood. You can always check the credits for the each video (and the VP videos) in the description. as others have mentioned, Geoff provides all the voices for his videos. For the costuming, Geoff found that shirt online. Other fun information: Most of the pumpkins used in the video belong to the Castelluccis (one of the large pumpkin stacks belongs to PattyCake Productions). The tombstones also belong to PCP. Geoff found that amazing moon light on Amazon. The video shoot piano was quite out of tune. The scene at the end, intended to give a bit of hope after such a somber song, was originally meant to have the present Geoff had in White Christmas suddenly appear before Jack, but they couldn't find it. While Kathy was talking to Tony Wakim (a former VoicePlay member, and the co-owner of PattyCake Productions with Layne Stein) about it, he said "Oh, we have a snow machine" and thus, the credits scene was born. Zero was not in the cut of the video released to Patreon, and Jack's eyes turned red in that version rather than having the pumpkins in them as they do in the final edit.

Great reaction. It's all him. He sings solo with instruments. He clones/layers himself 3-4 times for harmonies. In most of his videos his clones are on screen with him. He gave each a name and personality..... Jeff, Jeoph, Goff and Daryl. Started as a sorta joke and took off from there. Now they're permanent. The names first appeared in his video "Way Down" when he and 2 clones were janitors and the 3rd was the supervisor. Daryl got his name in his Halloween video last year "Ghost Riders In The Sky". The only thing that Voiceplay members do to help him with his videos.... Layne (beatboxer) helps him set up and sometimes is his camera man. Eli (like jelly) does his lighting. Otherwise it's all him and his beautiful wife Kathy. Who is Production Manager for him and Voiceplay.

Good reaction!😊 You will always know if Geoff has someone else singing with him in his videos. So far, I think he's only sung with The American Sirens and they were in the video with him. Every other voice you hear is Geoff. He sounds like a different person sometimes depending on the register he's singing in. It makes him Extra Special.😊

That’s not a choir behind him. That is the Geoffettes or the Geoff clones. They have names and personalities, Jeff, Jeoph, Goff and Darryl. If you watch other videos by Geoff you’ll get to meet them all. They all appear in Ghost Riders which I highly recommend.
