Lovely to see Geoff doing what he did so well. Much missed ❤️

I loved Friday night indoors on my own and watching Geoff. I cried for ages when my Guru died. I stopped watching Gardeners World for a good while when I used to race for it to make sure I missed none. He was the BEST and its just not the same without him. Everything he came out with was written in my brain for life. Hence, my house and garage is full of junk from recycling it all. I have his book Paradise Gardens and based my front garden on a project in it all made with reclaimed stuff, but now these things are expensive to buy from reclamation yards. They dont throw them at you like Geoff says. ha ha Lovely to hear your voice again Geoff

Thank you so much for posting this. I used to love Geoff Hamilton: he was the only reason I had a TV set. He was much missed after his death.

It is such a great opportunity to reap another knowledge to ponder in the field of gardening. I am enjoying watching this educational video and I claim that I really learned a lot from your tips. Thank you!

When Gardeners World showed you how to do things these days more interested in showing you other peoples gardens. Comes to something when you look to old programs for information.

Both Geoff and Percy were gardeners first and foremost, not celebrities. They were the best Gardeners' World ever had. If you want to see a similar gardening programme, try The Beechgrove Garden. It's a Scottish production and has some genuine characters and true gardeners. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rHOXdmyKl8-ooc0

Geoffrey Smith did all of this in the late 70's and Thrower before him.

Geoff sounds like Alan Partridge.

My Grandpa had a gardening book by Percy Thrower. The programme itself is good but is spoilt by a tune with a horrible ending!

apart from Geoff Hamilton, the other presenters were not very good tv presenters...no charisma..

Who cared, they were gardeners not presenters by trade and Percy was just the best

nacht98 I have to admit, I rather look at Rachel deThame than Percy

+nacht98 don't diss the Swithinbank, wish she was still on TV now, very knowledgeable and no waffle unlike a lot of presenters now.
