Hey Stu, I reckon I could spend days just watching what goes on at Geoff's workshop. Fascinating seeing their problem solving approaches and putting it all together. I guess now I can see where a lot of the conversion money goes, it's tons of R&D and live and learn experience you are tapping in to. Great content!

Oohhh, interesting. FD EV conversion... I always wondered if a Tesla motor would fit in the tight confines of the FD chassis. As someone else has suggested in the comments, there might be other motors that could fit. Still, it'll be interesting to see the finished product. 🙂

I wonder if I should do this to my old 928S in NZ. Probably not. I've already spent of 70K on it since I purchased it. :P That's enough, I reckon.

Certainly not Chris. Your 928 is clearly in good shape. This project is about resurrecting a tired 928, not fiddling with a good one.

@@inCARnationAustralia A thought(or spanner in the works).... will a Jaguar I-Pace or Chevy Bolt motor not fit in the rear as they don't have the diff casing on the side like Tesla etc also they have equal length drive shafts... see the DeLorean with a Bolt motor fitted and how compact it is...

@@kylereese4822 There are a range of aftermarket motors that could work. Plenty of inline options if I chose to retain torque tube and gearbox but I'd prefer not to. Those you mentioned might well fit but Chevy Bolt not sold in Aus and I doubt I'd find a wrecked I-Pace motor.
