I am still terrified of doing something that might make them mad, not because Im scared of them, but because I don't want to disappoint them or have them be upset with me. This is entirely normal to be worried about having a parent be mad at you because you messed up, and it has nothing to do with fearing retaliation.

Rising Horizon Gaming it’s not her parents she feared, it was the repercussions. Literally every kid has done something that could get them in trouble and been adverse to tell their parents. If you deny that you’re wrong. There are no “deep seeded psychological issues”, she’s a child who didn’t want to get in trouble.
