Principle a bit like chojun miyagi used, to close the hand took longer, so he used open hand techniques a lot too.

Are you familiar with any of the Vietnam era combatives(DEAL THE FIRST DEADLY BLOW) manuals and if so are they similar to what pat O'Neill taught?

Absolutely and striking mid verbal flow etc. Hugely important skills. Anything you can add to be more unexpected is worth it!

@@TommyMooreww2combatives Another great video Tommy. With the thumb out it allowed Geoff to have a more relaxed arm freeing his kinetic chain. He also used a single hip off the front foot to whip his arm out and snap his fist. Snap from a relaxed arm is what really knocks people out. It's why most knockouts in boxing occur in later rounds when their arms are tired . Most people when showing The Fence often show the Conscious Fence which is for soft skills and more stance like and obvious. The subconscious Fence is the real Fence. Close below eyeline at stomach height hiding your hands for unseen punches more importantly is the correct line up disguised within the fence to take advantage of the power arc for your perfected punch. Geoffs system is the truth and I applaude you and any one that's keep it in the present.
