I love your guided tours, Geoff. In the Noughties, I spent quite a bit of time in Thailand and Chiang Mai was my favourite but I was doing it all on the cheap because money was tight sadly but we did get to see the monuments and the temple as well as go to an evening extravaganza of traditional dancing and entertainment plus some lovely food. We took the night sleeper train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai and that was like going back 50+ years. My daughter and her boyfriend are in Thailand at the moment so watching your videos is making me miss Thailand a great deal. With even less money now than 20 years ago I live vicariously through your and a few others' channels. I love your happy presentation style and your adventurous spirit. Hugs

I stayed at that hotel in 2016. The hotel was a bit old but a great spot. I hired a push bike and rode about. It was a great holiday and cheap too!. Good video Geoff 😅

Hi, I absolutely love Chiangmai. It’s such a wonderful city. I was there about 30 odd years ago but it’s probably changed so much. I used to like going up to the Buddhist temple up on the mountain you are right up in the clouds amazing place so peaceful and what are used to go on the go-karts to they used to ring up all thai And we have a couple of hundred people watching us and they would leave us out there for 40 to 45 minutes. Adrenaline rush going through you you can’t even get out of the car you’ll be doing around 80 to 100 km an hour. I have some fond memories of Chiangmai. I also did a seven Day trek up in the mountains hardest thing I ever did my life, but the most rewarding

Great video as always! Makes me remember my trip to Chiang Mai 5 years ago.... Among other things I somehow accidently drove onto the highway on my motorbike and got chased by the Police, I had to drive on the shoulder against the traffic, jump over a creek and hide in a barn to escape. 😄 Later when I returned the bike, the young lady at the bike rental shop by accident had given my swedish passport to a chinese man who was on his way to the airport. She phoned the man who already had checked in and was in the queue for security check. The lady jumped on my bike and drove like mad to the airport, managed to retrieve my passport and give him his chinese passport! Anything can happen in Thailand, that I lhave learned on many occasions! 😉

How dee Geof.I am also currently in Chiang mai .I had a pint of Singha at that Moat house bar yesterday around early afternoon for which they charged B150 .They had the cheek to come around and shake the bottle half way through.I wont be going there again.I like the Score bar opposite the UN Irish .Good food ,polite staff and reasonable prices .

She was made world famous by Anthony Bourdain for her pork rice dish about 15 years ago but has had a stall at a night market for 30. The market is the one right by the north moat. Personally it was the best food I’ve had in Chiang Mai! You can’t miss her because of the cowboy hat 😊
