I don't even know what he is singing, but I do know that it is the kind of music that calls to your heart and commands you to listen. It is so calming and sweet

I see a lot of folks saying that they don't understand why they need to listen to this mans songs. Allow me to explain. Every human on this planet, every creature is born with a Spirit. Geoffrey Gurrumul sings to your Spirits, your souls and your heart. Somewhere deep inside each and every single one of us, we recognize The First Nations ancient language. It speaks directly to the very core of who we are as a being and not as 'humans'. "From all the lands on Earth we come". Was not a coincidence.

I only heard about Gurrumul today from a woman in whose shop I was buying a card for a friend who just lost her husband. I love his voice and his songs move me. I don't need to understand the language and it speaks to me anyway.

I love that he sings in his language, how beautiful and spine tingling his voice is.

With his music and my tears.... another lost and lonely soul is cleansed of all sadness.... he has gone beyond just a magical and mystical man....he is a healer.... his music should be played every day in Canberra, when parliament is sitting. Then a conscience could find its way to the law makers..... learning to respect and coexist with tribal law.

@@bunkesbarman blessings to you dearest brother.... so much kindness and truth in your reply. ❤ my direction is now clearing from the fog of "assimilation" and a powerful story is to be written. Honouring the suffering of soooo many, like my dad, little Billy melville, who lived "white" all his life and died recently an old man, disconnected from people and culture.... i had been fed the same myth, and tried hard to comply with a very restless spirit.... always being led back to the people and dreaming. Gurrumals music is beyond description, the soul and voice of a healing master. Perhaps the next saint appointed by the masses, globally, and beyond the power and control of religious doctrine and manipulation . He gave his life to humanity, black and white..... perhaps it was his vision that unity in diversity can actually be achieved if enough individuals believe. I honour your truth and your creative vision, truly a masterpiece from the gods and ancestors. Blessed be my friend. 🙏❤🙏 xx

I don't understand a word, but my spirit must, because this is the most beautiful, soul cleansing, God inspiring music. It calls me to love others to love this beautiful country Australia and it often makes me cry. The tears are good tears. Cleansing and healing, like a soothing balm. This man and his music -a gift to this world.

You do not need to be indigenous to feel this beautiful soul, Geoffrey did not see black or white he just felt spirit, I am white, and the first time I ever heard him sing on a radio program before his first CD release, I cried, and I still tear up every time I hear him sing, he was put on this earth for a reason ,and that reason has helped me on my mission on this earth, and now I hope the whole of humanity will receive a little bit of this beautiful souls presence in thier own hearts, as the shackles that have held mankind captive in thier own minds are released 🌏🌈❤️ magiç Box activation 21/12/2020 AEST 9:02 pm ULURU
