I'm from Belgium, I once read a book about leopold II. That man was one of the most evil peaces of human being. I can't grasp how we kind of ignore his atrocities in our history books. There are still streets and institutes named after him and even some statues. It's like having a 'hitler street' in Berlin. Comparisons with hitler are almost always exaggerated, but not in this case.

@Isaac-ho8gh5 жыл бұрын
@@lessthanpinochet exactly, its mainly their fault these days.. Not the west.
@marysophy36655 жыл бұрын
Isaac Raschke dont say “their” fault... the leaders’ fault ... Mobutu ALONE stayed in power for 32 years and no schools built, no roads built, NOTHING. Ok except the Barrage de Inga (not sure if it was really him, but still!)... he was feeding western countries as he was himself a toy... he lived his best life ! With a palace full of marble ... he invited kings and presidents to his home to “show off” ... for 32 years?!!! If students graduate after 17-20 years of school (from primary to uni) then 32 is enough to have a rocky base for the future! Ingénieurs and scientists are very important for research and development! Then he had to be replaced and Kabila the “father” came with his troops from Neighbouring countries, opening another door for conflicts... the countries that helped him take the power wanted their pay off and said “give us the resources...” he said “huh let’s me think about it... NAH!” Then he was assassinated 4 years later. And surprise!!! Who became president ? Joseph Kabila! People were against it ! Why him? Who is he? “His son” “WHAT?” “We dont want him!” “Shut up”! So Kabila the “son” stayed in power since 2001 and left this year after a 2 year extension during his “second” (in reality it is the third) term. Things even got worse!!!! He even wanted to change the constitution to stay longer in power... before leaving, he made a speech (if it wasn’t his first speech?) and said “we need to choose as a president someone that isn’t linked to foreigners ... because you will have to give them back what they had helped you to take !” I paraphrased it though ... but he literally was saying that people had put him there and when especially he sold Uranium to Iran, USA got mad and wanted to get rid of him. So in order to protect himself, he tried to find an agreement with the new “elected” president. “Don’t kill me !” So saying that “it is their fault is at the same time ignorance and the truth”... if you really think that the major countries aren’t saying or doing anything “bad” in this country you are lying to yourself ... on the other hand, the Congolese leaders are if not the stupidest, the most strange people in the world ! I have tried to understand them but I can’t ! I made it as short as I could .

Judging by your poor skills in English I highly doubt you can speak DutchIf you knew about history, you'd know that Indonesians do not speak Dutch because basically, Dutch people didn't want Indonesians to speak their language... It has nothing to do with your presidents or your supposedly higher skills in combat against the Dutchmen...
