Fun fact: Helgoland ("Heligoland" in English) was a possession of the UK from 1807 to 1890, and then again for several years after World War 2. There is a lot of European history that affected these islands. The first permanent European settlers of Pitcairn Island were some of the mutineers from HMS Bounty.

Pitcairn Island has less than 50 permanent inhabitants. It's pretty much the most remote place on the planet. It's part of the Mutiny on the Bounty story, which is why people even remember it at all. The surviving mutineers from The Bounty, along with Tahitian women they dragged along, are the ancestors of these people.

The flag you saw in Georgia was the flag of one of two breakaway states called Abkhazia, the other being South Ossetia. They are both partially recognized by Russia, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Syria, and for some reason Nauru. They are major reasons behind the strained relations between Russia and Georgia since the war in 2008.

Well done. The Somalia flag was right next to the Turkish flag on that round. If you looked around I'm sure you would have guessed Somalia instead of Turkey. You will get repeats the more you play this game.

Pitcairn I knew because of a youtube channel. I believe that's where a group of Brits crashed or something on the way to Australia. Maybe a mutiny? Trying to remember, but I think the shipwrecked crew made a settlement there and the original families are still there. I could be like OB Dave and spreading fake news here bahahaha!!!

Can't just rely on the flag. Both Heligoland and Lord Howe Island rounds had "regional" rather than national flags. Similar with the Georgia round. The language on the Heligoland one was clearly German to me. Both Heligoland and Pitcairn may be tiny places, but are reasonably well known through historical events (WW1, Mutiny on the Bounty). Good get on the Lord Howe Island one though.
