Because of all the hoopla during Nick from Home live stream's about COTM, and this excellent presentation, I decided to take a day away from Yellowstone yesterday (July 16, 2020) and visit COTM! It was pretty amazing. I hiked about 8 miles through the outdoor portions, and it was like the couple said, you feel transported to a different world! I watched most of this again before going and it really helped me understand what was going on there. Due to COVID-19 stuff, the caves are all closed and the North Crater flow trail is currently closed too due to unsafe conditions. But there was so much to look at. Thanks for doing this Nick, it really helped me out! :-)

We're these " from home" lectures a result of the COVID pandemic? It certainly turned a lot of folks' lives upside down, also leading to depression /anxiety in many...😢. The isolation and prohibition of normal social activities has been so sad... BUT, as we say, " It's an I'll wind that does nobody any good" : I wonder how many people all over the world have discovered Geology, especially presented by Prof' Zentner, with his clear, amiable, often humourous approach. 😊 Even with next-to-no special knowledge, there's always some- thing interesting in every episode. 😊. Suzanne and Ed McKinley, Ice Age Flood Institute members. We've been following you for several (many is it now?) years on PBS and your talk videos, the GSA talk in Seattle and we've even driven over from Olympia a few times to be at some of your lectures. This series is so above and beyond the call of duty and it has lasted for far more sessions than we thought it would in the beginning - and we've seen them all! It feels like we've just completed a comprehensive course in regional geology and it has been a very fulfilling school term. During "the run" we made day field trips to the Goat Rocks, Tieton Andesite, Yakima River Canyon, Craigs Hill for the St. Helens ash and the Thorp Prairie and now we are seriously considering a second trip to Craters of the Moon this week and to check out those initialed feature locations on your CotM map this morning. Thanks, so much, for this amazing experience.

I watched you last year sometime about Lake Missoula. I was looking for Western Montana geology. I have liked your presentation style. If I had known about you last year I would have been a regular. I started working from home for the last 3 months of my working life. I retired right after you did this show. Wife and I took trip through Idaho to see friends. We went to Craters of the Moon. I have always been amazed by the geology of the Western United states. I think I will go back and watch the previous 74 shows! It will take awhile but I will make it my quest! I still love to learn at 66 years old. I started watching your Geology 101 class the other day! Oh yeah, I actually watched the Ice Floods class the other day. I made a comment on that stream.

This video was fascinating for me because I grew up in Idaho Falls and have been through Craters of the Moon many times. My favorite trip through there was in 1960 at age 10, with my mom, driving in her top down MG convertible at night under a full moon. There was almost no traffic. The highway was narrow, full of potholes, and liberally littered with dead jackrabbits. It felt like we were driving across the moon. - My dad worked out at the AEC reactor site and I remember standing out in the pitch dark dessert at Arco, Idaho, along with all the other AEC workers and their families, waiting to see the town of Arco be lighted up by the world’s first nuclear generated electricity. Everyone cheered and the coyotes began howling from out in the darkness. -. This series has been the highlight of the quarantine. I’d like to see some geology field trips or camp outs organized that you could take us on. I’d gladly pay for such a trip! I’d even help or lead organizing for such a trip. 🙏🏼💕🤩

Professor Zentner is a classic. It's comforting to me to put on videos by him and other scientist such as Richard Alley and Carl Sagan. I'm a commercial electrician and have worked in the construction trades most of my life. It's sad the amount of people out there with closed minds. I've worked around them for decades. Martin Luther - author of the ‘Ninety-Five Theses’ in 1517, Founder of the Lutheran Church and of the Protestant Reformation said, “Learn from me, how difficult a thing it is to throw off errors confirmed by the examples of all the world, and which, through long habit, have become a second nature to us.” Daniel J. Boorstin - Author and Historian said, “The greatest obstacle to discovery is not ignorance; it is the illusion of knowledge.” It a real comfort to me just hearing Professor Zentners voice. I've listened to many of Proessor Zentners KZbin presentations many times each. It's a real mental, cloistered, refuge for me to listen to others that love truth and are not afraid of the scientific method, and not afraid to explore the areas where the facts lead us.

I live on the Big Island, in Volcano. Went to Craters of the Moon last year and by god the similarities are incredible. I studied Volcanology here at UH-Hilo a decade ago. I watch your videos as a wonderful reminder as to why I got into this Science in the first place.

When I found these lectures, you were already several months in. I watched one live, but there were a lot of references which I didn't understand - German chocolate cake for example! I started back at the beginning, and have been catching up slowly ever since. I can see that you did, in fact, continue the series, so I have more catching up to do...
