Geometric loader animation in After Effects for beginners

Another obnoxious video, low joke count, high confuse, much meh.
We're going over trim paths cause f yeah, parenting, keyframes, and other things that I forgot cause I'm tired from editing.
I recorded my first version and worked on the final one later on, so we're working with a slightly different one, on the core element, being a 8 points star and geometrical linking through.
We will be using offset on trim paths to get two sources to meet as the path fills up.

Right? It's ridiculously toxic to ask for so many specialties from designers. We wouldn't hire a personal accountant for corporate taxes, why should a type designer be able to do character animation work?

I switched from black to dark grey theme in AE. You can not see if something had been checked or not. Where? Besides the names of layers left of the timeline.

Funny you ask! I was going to, and then realized the response is not as good on Webflow and AE videos compared to Affinity and MagicaVoxel (which makes sense considering that's what I did the most in the past) so I dropped the idea unless I get requests to do it.

How you did the zoom and rotate effect?

I believe I put that composition into a new one and set scale and rotate from zero to a size that is big enough to leave the frame. Then copy and paste that layer and move the new one to start at the half point of the animation of the previous one. From there you can either loop with expressions or copy and paste more layers.

Tibby ralph I’m making more assets these days so not KZbin content. I’m still responding to comments and such but I’m having a hard time blocking days to edit videos like those (full time job + practicing/learning on my free time). Looking forward to getting back on KZbin if I can find ways to edit faster though.

I make Voxel assets btw and working on getting better at using my drawing tablet. Have you considered getting a video editor? Tibby ralph I appreciate the offer! I can’t monetize this channel so that’s also a big reason why I don’t prioritize it and actively look into solutions. I don’t make anything voxel outside of the 3 I made on this channel. I mostly do web components (CSS and SVG animations) and random illustrations and UI concepts, and also do some of that during working hours (I work at Webflow). I’ll try to keep the channel in mind when I make those to see if I can publish some with less editing efforts!

Mostly because I don't watch tutorials personally, and that I'm not getting any revenue from KZbin. Editing the longer videos I have (tutorials, most recent ones) take up my whole weekend and every night of my week, meaning I can't create anything on the side, or learn new things myself.
