Geometry Dash has had a ton of hackers over the years, but some of them have made a bigger impact than others. In this video, I go over three of the most mysterious hackers in Geometry Dash history. The hackers I discussed were Anaban, Cyclic and Mohammed Ja'kalem Al-abdula. I exposed the ways they hacked and explain their impact on Geometry Dash players.

Fun fact: anaban came back to the game in 2021, in the name of xx0T1xx, but instead of hacking the game again he just made progress in some levels like a 79 in bloodbath and a 38 in sakupen hell, and he said he doesnt want to be called anaban anymore.

I remember the days when people are calling out Mohammed back in comments sections of daily levels back in 2018. I can't remember when it happened since I only encountered small troll accounts and not an entire spammed messages/requests like the one at 6:17. I did get 1-3 message about Mohammed, though. After that, no more mentions about him. I would like to mention this out. There was a daily level back in 2018 called "Triagonal Corundum" and that level's comment section got targeted as a dislikebot fest. I remember when the top comments only have around 5-10 likes and the rest of them are disliked. Now it seems that the whole thing has stopped (thank goodness). But yeah, I just want to mention my experience on witnessing a hacker live.

Amazing video, but about the cyclic situation probably he only hacked the extreme demons, like cataclysm, ICDX, TUP, sonic wave, etc but i don't think he hacked the easier levels because before he became a famous player he was an stargrinder, there is a channel called cyclic archive where you can find cyclic's old videos that he deleted

You can’t really be comparing Cyclic and Anaban imo, Cyclic hacked in terms of using cheats while playing (Exploiter), Anaban actually managed to hack people’s accounts, so Anaban was way worse by a long shot

Instead of cyclic, id have personally put something like pavlukivan or Pizzaroot. They’re way more obscure despite having had a pretty big effect on the community, with pizzaroot creating the first bot and pay doing many things. However, good video

You should've talked about Team Renderman. At the time, they gave a lot of problems to gd. They rerated levels to difficulties that weren't even correct, Hacked users left and right, and even edited levels. I think they did even more to the game but I didn't know that much. even after the hacking spree, they damaged gd. The servers started crashing or slowing down many times. Took days to fix. They really damaged GD. but luckily, GD recovered.

Very well video, but there is one thing: Flaaroni made a series of where he copied other big GD creators art and design style, and turn them into levels such as Emoji Pop (danzmen) and Fatal Momentum (lemons). Those levels got their whole gameplay and deco taken down, and the description got replaced to, "Hacked by Anaban", so anaban has not stopped.

I don't know if this comment will go through, since the last one I posted might have been obliterated because it contained a link to a relevant Twitter post. You seem to have forgotten hmann, a person that hacked GD's servers in May 2014 to spam the recent section with free/easy levels and then rated them as 127-star demons. While these levels were swiftly removed from the servers and Rob fixed his PHP to prevent this from happening again, screenshots of the incident still remain. There's a post from the Restoration Union's Twitter account about this that includes multiple images, but I can't really link it without this comment being blacklisted. The account handle is "restoration_uni" and the hmann post is from July 21, 2021.
