Personally I think it'll be grief. I think it's still harder than Amethyst and tidal wave but doggie has nerfed it a bit and is fully going for it. He said he wants to beat it by November so that's still 2024. Maybe someone else will pull off a new top 1 after or one that's harder than Grief but it's my pick. I absolutely love Amethyst as a level though

I’ve been in the community since 2014 and while Bloodbath is clearly the most iconic here, Zodiac is my personal favorite just because that was in my opinion during the peak of the Geometry Dash community and as a level just represents culmination of how awesome and creative the community was at the time. Such a great level.

@@-umnica- one is from an insane demon to a mid tier extreme. The other is from a mid tier extreme to a higher mid tier extreme. Maybe I’m crazy and blinded by the hype at the time but I just feel like going from icdx to bb is a crazier feat than bb to sw

@@Dax_Maclaine bb is quite jumpable from ICDX, while sonic wave is a lot less achievable for most people ICDX is probably around top 1100, bb is top 498, SW is top 197, BB to SW is a much more serious increment, though yeah, BB was the one to open the eyes for slayers that there's much more to do in GD slaughterhouse though is the biggest jump for sure, unlike previous tops it was literally considered impossible a year before it was cleared

dang the skill increase from 2013 to 2014 is crazy, BP night is like maybe a hard easy demon or easy medium demon and ICDX is hard insane easy extreme.

Well, Amethyst is literally 1.5x Tidal wave difficulty packed into a 1 minute level so it is technically harder

@@johndarksoul although for example SWI wasn’t rated top 1 at its top of verification it is harder then Tartarus at verification and was later placed above it. So when sonic wave Infinity came out it was top 1 but wasn’t acknowledged as so.
