This is wonderful Tim! I was just searching for ways to use fields for topographic map creations and was happy to come across this since your stuff is always top notch. It got me thinking of those sliced extruded text effects as well, so I love how you went into the volume builder at the end there too, it’s as if your were reading my mind!

This is a fantastic video/tutorial. However, I am using R26 and the Displacer is not having ANY effect. I am only able to make something happen with the Wave effector. Anyone else seeing this problem? I have tried placing the effector and sphere in different hierarchy levels to no effect (pun intended) Thank you :)

Hi Tim, it would be great to translate the sliced object to lasercut numbered pieces.. like the Slicer plugin of Fusion 360. Could you do that as a plugin for Cinema4D ?

Sorry not me, I don't have the knowledge to code a C4D plugin.
