Thank you so much for this tutorial, I've been searching everywhere for this kind of solution and this video was the only one that showed it and explained it in the clearest way. Thank you!!!

I need to synchronize shader switchers in different materilas. I would like that if I change the switch in one materials, it does the same in the other ones. Any clue how to do that ?

Thanks for the tutorial- I noticed this method makes the objects the material is applied to non responsive to scene lights (Dome light, area light, etc)... does anyone know how to enable the scene lighting to work with this material?
@studiovakuum10663 ай бұрын
I'd recommend using the User Data Tag. It's more suitable to copy/paste on object ;)

In Redshift Toon Materials, when I apply the alpha image to the plane polygon, the line is not represented by the alpha map, but it comes out according to the plane. How can I make the line appear according to the alpha map?

Thank you very much! It was crucial to add the attribute delete to prevent the shop_materialpath to override the volume material. After going through a few tutorials, I still couldn't get my volume material to affect my smoke. But luckily enough, I came across your tutorial!

Don't you think about creating a toon shader pack for octane render?

This is really good. I've been finding that the OSL HalftoneDots shader can do some nice things that the built in Redshift Tonemap Pattern can't (as far as I can tell). For example, scaling one direction to zero to get a regular crosshatch patterns, or then driving the angle parameter with cell voronoi to get 'patch hatching' - different angles across the surface...
@Helloluxx6 ай бұрын
You can drive the tonemap pattern rotation with noise, etc, but yeah I hope to see more improvements to the toon shaders overall they're not as fully featured as they could be!

How does it look animated?
@Helloluxx6 ай бұрын
The halftone is shader based so it depends on what you animate..

Wait why is your node editor looking so different than mine does? I am using cinema 4d 2024.4 i think......😅

maybe you are using the older Xpresso nodes? It should work fine with either.

Thanks for the tutorial, but in this way you can't go around and navigate the scene through the camera so I'm missing something because this is completely unusable for me.
