ich weiss, hab ich zuhause. aber ich brauche sehr weiches wasser und darum die osmoseanlage. mein leitungswasser ist leider zu hart 😕 habe früher leitungswasser benutzt und meine fische wurden krank darum jetzt auf die umständliche art.

freshwatertanks sadly no, I do have a 20 gallon and a 5 gallon fish tank though. I was looking into them because I was wondering what some good bottom feeders would be and I found that they make pretty good ones. I really want to get a bigger tank soon and stock it with geos. How big is your tank?

they are bottom feeders, but honestly they eat all the food before it sinks to the bottom. my tank is a 120g

hi there! the filter is perfectly fine! it just takes space away but besides that it‘s a good one. originally i wanted to get an oscar fish and they are pretty messy that‘s why i have two external filter in this tank (eheim 2078). in my bioflow filter i mostly used sera siporax as filter medium. what kind of fish will you get?

i‘m not sure what to answer. i took mine out. they seemed stressed and i have lost a few. but i‘m not sure if it was because of the geos. 🤷♂️ difficult question with the tetras. my rosy tetras are doing much better...

Habe den bei mir noch im Betrieb. Überlege ob er ausreicht oder ob noch ein zweiter dran muss. Bisher hat der eigentlich in jedem Becken gut gearbeitet. Selbst bei Tropheus

no you can also have a lowtech tank without a filter but with lot‘s of plants and more water changes. but it‘s always easier to keep them with a filter.

no sera siporax is more like eheim substrate pro. it's biological filter media. if you go to the eheim website all is explained. do you also have the 2078?

i know this feeling. don‘t overthink it. you have 4 boxes. i have eheim mech in the bottom bix, then eheim bio mech, then eheim substrate pro and sera siporax on the top. it works fine for me. mechanical filter media needs to be in the bottom boxes

Ich find sie toll. Sehr lebhaft! Und ja ich rechne also nicht mehr damit, dass Sie noch gross wachsen werden. 18cm werden sie bei mir bestimmt nicht erreichen. Ich hatte sie ein Jahr lang ohne Heizer gehalten, bis ich gelesen habe, dass sie 28 Grad benötigen (im Geschäft waren 25 Grad angegeben). Auch hatte ich sie zuerst in Leitungswasser und jetzt vermische ich mein Wasser mit Osmosewasser. Mögen es schon lieber weicher. Meine hatten die Lochkrankheit, aber seit ich sie in Weichwasser habe, ist alles wieder gut. Löcher sind gut verheilt. Der Aufwand mit dem Wasser vermischen ist für mich der grösste Nachteil. Ist halt schon aufwändig und natürlich das Aufheizen auf 28 Grad. Ansonsten tolle Fische!

@@freshwatertanks ich habe mir gestern jetzt 6 Stk vom Züchter geholt. Der hällt seine bei 27 grad,der züchtet sie selbst jetzt 6 Jahre. Was er mir auf jeden Fall empfohlen hat gerade was wohl gut für geophagus sein soll sind nach dem wasserwechsel Mineralien mit in das Wasser zu geben da es sehr gut zur Entwicklung helfen soll und auch flüssiges humin. Seine Elterntiere die er hatte die hatten schätze ich ihre ca 17-18 cm.

Du hast wirklich sehr schöne Becken, mir gefällt die minimalistische Einrichtung sehr gut. Wie schaffst du es, mit so wenigen und dann noch langsam wachsenden Pflanzen, keine Algen im Becken zu haben. Sonst ist die Empfehlung ja immer möglichst viele Pflanzen damit die Alegn weniger Chancen haben.

Vielen Dank! Ja so ganz ohne Algen läuft das Becken leider nicht. Habe immer wieder Algen auf den Blättern der Anubias und muss diese regelmässig entfernen. Ist bisschen mühsam. Ich denke es geht auch ganz ohne Pflanzen, dafür einfach mit mehr Wasserwechsel. Bin mir sogar wieder am Überlegen, ob ich die Anubias wieder rausnehmen soll. An der Scheibe und auf der Wurzel habe ich eigentlich nur wenig Algen. Nur auf den Blättern der Anubias.
