1:35 commentator said Beamish is the national record holder in this event. Nick Willis has the indoor mile record for New Zealand at 3:51.06 from Millrose 2016. Won’t be long until Beamish adds the mile to his 3k,5k records!

Not sure where you were looking, but there were indeed both 1/4 and 1/2 (technically 409.34m. and 809.34m) splits: 57.7 and 1.55.9.
