It seems to me that, vowel sounds in the Geordie accent sound similar, in other words there is no distinction between, "a", "e", and "I", but then again, I am from New Zealand, and we can be really lazy and nasal with our vowel sounds. Not as bad as Australia though.

she speaks funny? but he says 'dis' instead of 'this', also says 'finga' instead of 'finger' LMAO seems like he needs lessons too. Also FYI Geordie language is liguisticaly the closest to the original dialect of the English nation going back to the Anglo/Saxon era.... so technically we have the only real English accent, everyone else is wrong and are using watered down versions that came from the French and Germans :p

As a Geordie I believe we speak properly as we tend to pronoun all the vowels in words. I would tend to tell him to " hadaway and sh$te". How do the southeners and BBC wallers pronounce "goat", cockneys wouldn't pronounce the "t" at the end. The posh would say "pass" with an "r"" "ask" ask " - it doesn't have an "r" in it as well. But the word "ass" ? mmm. My advice to you "hinnie" is to get him to "give ower" or better still come home ( to the toon} and fing a canny lad. . If you are living in the south and ever have bairns think of the terrible accents they might grow up with.
