George Bellas is just a beast and underated guitar player. His technique is flawless
@bodybuildingrocker72054 жыл бұрын
That tone is incredibly dry and stiff. His skill shows through in his precision and hand synchronicity. No delay or reverb to hide behind. Most impressive.
@taylorpenunuri86773 жыл бұрын
Yes exactly. I absolutely hate the tone but in this situation its a great study because here we have a player that can actually pull off such a raw sound. Really allows you to hear his control and dynamics.
@justincase61513 жыл бұрын
I've always been impressed with George's control and quality of the individual notes. He played on a shrapnel album with John West called "Mind Journey". There's a song on there called "Fair Trade" with a killer riff and solo. I highly recommend a listen. Awesome vocals of course.

@@justincase6151 Mind Journey may be my fave album he's played on. John West's vocals are amazing, the songs are great, and Bellas plays like a demon. And his tone doesn't sound like ass. The Oracle by Ring of Fire is another great one, similar in style but with Mark Boals on vocals. "Vengeance for Blood" really showcases Bellas' playing.

George is an amazing guitarist. Few people will be able to play something on such a, frankly, dry and stingy sound, and George is simply impeccable here. He's one of those phenomenal guitarists who are really underrated. From the same category as Rick Graham, for example. These are guitarists who perform very little, mostly teach, but they are incredible!

Studied with George back back when he used to send cd-roms via mail. Awesome player and person. Pretty weird mix here though (a lot of the M.I videos have the same issue, sounds almost direct from the board?). I'm sure this sounded a million times better in the room. Very cool of M.I To share these videos though, spent a lot of time in their video library while studying at G.I.T in '95-96:)

Though George Bellas is a great guitar player, and has created some amazing music, Like "Reach for the night", written by John Marshall, Mike Gingrich, Michael McCarran and George Bellas, but without notifying the writers of songs, Mr. Bellas gave the song to John West for his solo album. Mr. Bellas also falsified to BMI on the other writes on the album "Flying Through Infinity" by Palace Terrace, witch formed by Jonathan Marshall and George Bellas, the album "Flying Through Infinity" music was written by George Bellas and the melodies and story and Lyric were written and performed by Jonathan Marshall. George Bellas took the entire credit for the album, music, melodies, story concept and lyrics, Project name, album name and copyrighted under Bellas Tune Factory, not sharing any the copyrights with the other writer, Jonathan Marshall, in fact, Mr. Bellas told BMI and in interviews that he had written the entire album, the story concept, melodies and lyrics, but stolen all the copyrights from Mr. Marshall. Furthermore, George Bellas refused to give any information on what Jonathan Marshall's contribution to "Flying Through Infinity" album BMI, and still to this day he refuses. Sound like a court needs to intervene.

for neoclassical / shred aficionados, arguably it's currently another golden age.. or perhaps the original G/Age (arguably spearheaded by YJM & VanHalen in the early 1980's) never ended; it's popularity & exposure simply varying with the fashions & vagaries of the day (thanx Grunge...). happily, this translates to an absolute plethora of chops-monsters replete with the intangible yet requisite passion & feeling in their playing whilst penning stunningly beautiful & complex compositions worthy of Bach or Beethoven. today, audiences are inordinately fortunate & privileged to hear from Maestros of the caliber of Tony Macalpine, YJM, MAB, Marc Rizzo, Rusty Cooley, Christian Muenzner & Jeff Loomis et al. sitting rite at the very apex of the mountain (imo), is the incredible George Bellas. couldn't have put it any better than the contributor, below: 'best player in the world. no one comes close to his compositions. sorry but true.' here here. GB reminds me of Rafa Nadal: both inordinately talented, both idolized by their army of fans & yet both are genuinely humble & self-effacing. very, very cool peeps (imo)

ANDREW BYNG this is his stock 60's strat in daphne blue. He does have a sweet arsenal of strats though, a few with scalloped boards. Has a few Gibson too.
@sithgirl14227 жыл бұрын
Jed Nadin You mean 50's Strat right? Because 60's Strats have rosewood fingerboards. I doubt that his guitars are stock; they are likely to be fitted with bigger frets and hum cancelling pickups. It also looks like he's using Graphtech bridge saddles.

Before all you Bellas fans come and smash me with "how about YOU do better, pal !" etc, , I want to begin by saying he's a GREAT player !.. There.. NOW, a coupla small things.. Firstly, IMHO, he plays for way too much speed all the time.. He's got some really interesting chops, and the flavour of that really comes out, when he slows it down a bit !..Playing and performing guitar, it's an Art form.. It ain't a time-trial around Le Mans !..Ask David Gilmour .. Secondly, he's another one of these irritating "Song" people (5.06 and 10.27) .. George, it's only a SONG if it's got SINGING in it, ok ?.. Call it a piece, an instrumental, a tune, whatever you fancy.. But what you're playing, they ain't SONGS...If you're going to be a pro, please talk like one , and get your terminology right.. Cheers..
